MY FAVOURITE FISH AND CHIP SHOP! Staff are always so friendly, fish and chips are crunchy and flavourful, burgers are juicy, normally don’t wait longer than 15 minutes for your meal, overall is great! Highly recommend

This place is amazing they have great costumer service and they are always nice when i come in.the chips are always good and i recommend the greek salad.

I finally got a chance to try this place. Boy, was I surprised at how good the quater chicken & greek coleslaw was. Will definitely try some other stuff from there.

Was up in Surrey Downs for work and thought I’d have a good old burger with the lot from a chicken shop. Popped in to Surrey Chicken & Takeaway, I can say with conviction that it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had from a takeaway shop. Huge, fresh, hot and delicious! Will be returning on a weekly basis. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend!

If you live in or near Surrey Downs do yourself a favour and give these guys a try! Simply the best chicken / fish & chip shop by a country mile. Not only is the shop impeccably clean and well presented, but the quality of the food is OUSTANDING!

I have no idea what secret ingredients Yanni uses for his Steak Sandwiches but OMG to say they are addictive is the understatement of the century!

Not only is the food beyond reproach, but the service is just as good! Family run, local business, that understands the meaning of good old fashioned customer service.

Went in today to order some small chips and I think the owner upgraded me to medium chips instead. The customer service was really great thank you.

NEVER AGAIN! So obviously this place DOES NOT read restaurant notes about food allergies - ordered a YIROS for my daughter and specifically wrote to PLEASE NOT ADD ANY TOMATO OR ONION DUE TO FOOD ALLERGIES and still got a YIROS filled with tomatoes & onions! It’s a good thing I always check or else my daughters allergic reaction could have ended with her in hospital or even worse! NOT GOOD ENOUGH! THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS! Have some knowledge on how serious and fatal food allergies can be! Disgusting!

New owners are doing a great job, finally a decent fish and chip shop open on Boxing Day! Chips were perfect and crunchy and no fake calamari. Staff were lovely too.

I love this fish and chip shop! The food is delicious. Chips are perfect, chicken and fish is amazing and the salads are the best! My kids say the hotdogs are the best they've ever had too The portion sizes and prices are also great. Not only is the food great, the service is fast and all of the staff are kind and polite. They make you feel welcome and are so friendly. You can also tell they all enjoy working there together. Definitely our families go to take away place for a quick and satisfying dinner!

Waited 25 minutes for small chips and still not received with staff standing around while baskets of chips sit there not being cooked. No urgency. Walked out. Maybe get multiple people working the chips station if it’s difficult to keep up with the demand. Disappointing.

Surrey’s Chicken is our number 1 go to shop for the best hot chickens and chips! Highly recommend the grilled butterfish and the Aussie burger as well. The staff are always so friendly, with amazing fast service. This place will not disappoint!

We have had takeaway from Surrey's twice this week. Yes, twice. I had a fish and chip pack Wednesday, it was so delicious, loved the chips, really good chips and the fish was perfectly cooked. It was so good I got the same order again tonight and it was just as good. 10/10 for consistency. We will definitely be back.

I have never seen a worse display of a roast chicken thrown in a bag. Looked liked it had been skinned and jumped on. Terrible with salads to match. Just get the chips

One of the best yiros I've had and I've had about 100 plus. Burgers also to die for. Really good prices too. If you try you will be back. Having again tonight.

The "new" (been there for a while now) owner (s) /chef/staff are really friendly and the food is excellent! I keep going back because the chips are perfectly cooked with great flavour and the salads are fresh, tasty, and have variety. The staff members even go to the trouble of sifting out capsicum for my wife who is allergic! Burgers and yiros are very tasty and not soggy or oily. I often place phone orders and they are always ready on time. I can thoroughly recommend this establishment! ️

I havent gone here in a few years but was at the Drs so thought I'd grab some chips and a Burger, the Portions were huge alot of chips compared to alot of places maybe not the best quality meat and chips but the size makes up for that, I grabbed the fusion burger and it was huge alot bigger than I thought it maybe I thought it was pricey till I saw the size when I got home. The chips were seasoned well, the customer service was good the guy in there had a but of a chat to me as I asked questions about the burger and he seemed like a nice bloke, and the female came in and we spoke briefly as well. They seem like lovely people the food was quick and nice can't really fault them.

This store has turned quite the slump ever since the new management and it seems the business is plummeting. The old manager (John and Dez) were very nice and i wish they didn't hand it over to the new guy.the new boss is quite rude and honestly, quite hurt my feelings. The one thing good about the place is the night time service. That is the only reason i am giving this place a star. If it wasn't for them i would give it a zero!
