Sunrise Bakery & Cafe reviews
40Visited the coffee shop for a coffee but was disappointed to receive it in a paper cup due to staff laziness. Moreover, the lack of food options in the afternoon was disappointing, suggesting they might as well close early if they can't provide proper service.
Great food and average coffee. (Need proper barista to make those coffees)
The staff was fantastic and welcoming.
The chicken roll was delicious, bread was fluffy and moist.
Cosy place with lots of food options in breakfast. Apricot and Almond cookies are crunchy and the perfect combination with coffee and tea.
Barossa Pie was tasty. Thank you for your service.
Was ridiculously hot inside.
They don't use fresh cream in their cakes.
Potato pie had one tiny piece of potato on it. Supposed to be potato covering the top of the pie.
Pretty average.
OMG their honey logs are the fluffiest lightest most deliciously awesomest things I have had. The Cornish pasties are one of the best around as well. To sit inside and have your breakfast lunch or early tea is very pleasant experience but their food well I don't think you could find better anywhere great jobs guys and gals
Terrible pies
Steak pies dont have any steak in them its all mince, very Salty also cheese in steak beacon and cheese its like a big lump of cream cheese
This bakery is huge with lots of seating and a German theme to the decor. However the customer service is ridiculously bad. All we ordered was a hot dog with the lot and a chicken roll. Surely very simple things to make. However, after arriving there at 12.15pm we were not served until 1.50pm! At 1.15pm we asked if it would be much longer and the girl told us 10 minutes max. However it was 20 minutes later before they brought out the hot dog and then another 15 minutes before they finally brought the chicken roll. They did not even bring a serviette or cutlery, you have to go and do all that yourself. To make matters worse, the hot dog with the lot was very poor. The onion was raw and not cooked, the cheese was just a cheese slice and they forgot the mustard so it was completely dry. The chicken on the chicken roll was not very good either. Definitely not going to repeat this experience again. To take that long to make such simple meals is absolutely ridiculous. The toilets are also in bad condition. The men's toilet didn't even have soap. Only good for takeaway since they seem to be a lot quicker with those orders.
Nice bakery, a wide selection of baked goods, good spot to stop for lunch, plenty of room to eat inside and there's also a nice park which is across the road from the bakery.
A must stop on your drive through Lyndoch. Would go back for my cappuccino and sausage roll everyday if I could.
We love the Bienenstich and the pasty slice for a quick afternoon tea or when friends pop in. The large pies make an easy dinner. The hot pies and sausage rolls to go are great too. Lots of seating and cute little country bakery. Lucky to have this so close to home.
Love coming here for coffee, dog friendly so Leo and I can sit outside. Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere.thank you.
Loved it! Beautiful German-styled decor. Many booths with the walls highly decorated. Ask for your coffee in a cup/mug or it will come in a takeaway cup.
Lots of items on menu not available and it was only 1130am.
Pastie below average, Steak & mushroom pie was ok, but not great.
Eclair was stale.
Good quality and tasty food.
Stopped off after Shea Oak fire with CFS this morning. We had a coffee and they gave crews some very nice buns. Thank you guys they were yummy.
Staff are so helpful and friendly. Even had multiple gluten free options available. Great selection. We will be back.
The wait here was ridiculous, soooo slow! Expensive and to top it off, zero vegan options (which is pretty ignorant in this day and age). Maybe the food is good, I walked out without trying anything because of the zero options.
Great bakery and coffee house. Quaint old time furnishings which give a great vibe of yesteryear. Don't chamge a thing
Its the 3 nov today bannana bread was a donation we threw it out. Pasty was just pastry so disappointed once was a top bakery
Very friendly staff, and amazing chai latte and Toasted chicken sandwich. I have no words to how yummy it was.yummmmmmmm.
Yummy selection of baked goods. So many breads, cakes, pies and even a small selection of icecream. The customer service was nice as well, but not too knowledgeable on the ins and outs of baking.
Out for a motorcycle ride and stopped at the Sunrise. Spoilt for choice, you name it they have it and more. Friendly staff and very clean shop. Great park across the road to take a break and enjoy what you bought at the bakery. Not the first time we've been there.
