My wife caught a suburban taxi from the city to home last Friday night. Driver was on his mobile. My wife asked him to stop short of home. She told him she wasn’t happy with the service and attempted to get a picture of his ID which he snatched off the dash. He then started back for the city with my wife. She walked home distressed rang the company. No one to take her complaint. I rang but same response. We were promised a call back after the weekend. No one called. No one cares. No accountability.

I did get a response to this review but like all other reviews for Suburban, it was obviously automated and so the review and my wife’s distress, was ignored by Suburban Taxis.

Never use this service. Call a RIDE SHARE not a taxi.

Tried to get taxi from casino yesterday (9 January 2024) around 12: 50am- 1: 10am early morning and been to first taxi in the rank 2554 and he said he will charge me $20 from casino to Franklin street and when I told him to charge according to the meter he refused to take me and asked me to walk away. Very bad experience and such a unprofessional and greedy driver

Waited one hour 45 minutes still no taxi, called 3 times and told soon, this is why Uber will get my money next time, missed appointment at hospital with broken leg and arm, thank alot

Took 1 hour to get a taxi in the city. Driver called up that they were 10 minutes away and did not come. Had to contact call centre which communicated the request was placed wrongly in their system. Left hanging and had to follow up. I love supporting companies that pay local taxes but this is starting to wear thin on me.

I got into a cab to take a trip from the Airport to the Adelaide CBD. A short while into the trip I noticed that the driver was coughing and was clearly sick with influenza. Several times during the trip he opened his window and coughed which only made it worse as the infectious droplets were then circulated throughout the interior of the car. I never have high expectations of cabs, but this was a new low. Working while sick and knowingly infecting your many passengers is just plain irresponsible.

Intentionally overcharged by dishonest driver. When confronted refused to show the meter or his driver ID.

Management just as bad promising to follow up and return call. No contact and no refund.

Horrible wait times, no awnsers from customer service, just empty promises about the next available, then charged a ridiculous amount, no idea how they are still in business

Normally I use Uber but to make it faster, I chose more expensive option and book a cab after Guns N Roses concert in Adelaide. After 40 minutes when I checked online it showed my cab picked me up somewhere on the other side of the city and it’s on his way! While me and kids were in the cold waiting for our cab! Funny that driver called me and said wait Ill be there soon. Finally Uber takes us home.

You wonder why people go with Ubers when I jump in 1 of your taxis and he wants to charge me $50 off meter to go from Hindley St to Prospect. Never ever using your company, cost me $25 with tip

Worst customer experience, booked a maxi taxi going to airport 5 days before hand, called them back bc they were 15 minutes late, surprise, they can't find my booking. Disgusting service!

Booked a taxi to the airport for mid morning the following day. Taxi arrived right on time. Driver was friendly, fit in all the luggage perfectly and even pointed out the new aircraft display off to the side of the terminal (100yo biplane that even the kids loved seeing).

Company customer services have gone down hill and is no longer a reliable service. My XL cab did not turn up for a pre-booked ride a month in advance to the airport. After 15 minutes after the pick up time, I called them and was told the booked driver was not qualified to drive children. My ride was then cancelled and I had to find my own way to the airport.

Simply the worst taxi experience I have ever had. It was booked ahead as I had a flight to catch and was travelling for a day of speaking engagements. When I stepped inside it was like a public toilet - dirty tissues and a strong smell of sick (on a Wednesday morning!). The driver told me to open the window and spray a can of underarm deodorant around. By the time I arrived at the airport I was almost throwing up AND I was charged $25 for the pleasure. I immediately provided negative feedback via text but then decided to call the complaints line. First I was told to leave a message which I did. Then over 24 hours later when I still had not received a response I made another call. On my second call, I was then treated to the worst customer service I have ever experienced. 'Matt' gave no apology for not returning my original call or for the appalling ride I had endured He proceeded to tell me that it was my choice to step into the taxi (even though I explained I had no choice as I had a plane to catch) and point blank refused to offer a refund (or even a cab charge to make up for it.), There was no suggestion of offering feedback to the driver either. I have always opted to support our local taxi companies but now because of the horrendous experience I had compounded by the contempt I received from the complaints person - I will cease supporting Suburban Taxis Adelaide and I suggest other's go elsewhere too.

Booked a day in advance and didn't arrive on time. When I called they couldn't even provide an estimate of when they might arrive. Choose another company.

Great taxi firm, highly recommend. My family and I were recently let down at 3.30am (going to the airport) by 13 Cabs with an XL taxi just not turning up for a pre-booked ride. Unable to speak to anyone at 13 Cabs and our ride just pending (even 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup) we called Suburban Taxis, they were so helpful. They couldn’t assist getting a large cab at such short notice, however, within 15 minutes they had two cars on their way and a call back to inform us of the pickup time. The drivers were also very nice and helpful which eased the stressful situation 13 Cabs put us in and we made our flight. As mentioned at the beginning of my review, I would highly recommend Suburban Taxis, very helpful and an extremely reliable company.

Caught taxi from the city the driver demanded upfront payment when I arrived at the destination he short changed me compared to the meter and told me it was delivery charge, RIP OFF.never use this service if I could give 0 stars I would

Usually very good tof pre-booked. However I have had very poor experience if requesting a taxi at a busy time. They cancelled three taxis in a row, we waited an hour and gave up.
