Stringybark Campsite reviews
18Great campsite with lovely people and campers, the wildlife is beautiful and has a nice fire track to go for a wonderful 2 hour hike on, is a great base, if you are looking to see deep creek national park.
This camping ground is by far the best camping experience we have had so far. Beautiful trees, kangaroos, kookaburras, clean amenities including flushing toilets, washing sinks and hot showers! What else!
Ps: trip down to Blowhole beach is a must (4x4 advice)
Fantastic campsite with great amenities. Sites are spread out and differ in size depending on your set up. There are flushing toilets and hot showers located in the middle of the campsite. These were excellent and make the camping experience that bit more comfortable! There is also a sink for washing dishes if you need, and this also has hot water. It was nice to wash hands in hot water during the middle of winter!
Sites have fire pits - these are deep rings which aren't as ideal when getting a fire going, but handy to have. Make sure to bring your own fire wood as you cannot collect in the site.
There are 3 walks directly from the campsite, each varying distance and difficulty. We did one of them with young kids and it was easy.
The campsite is densely wooded, so provides excellent shelter and shade. We stayed during winter, so only complaint was that the winter sun didn't quite make it through the trees (keep in mind for solar panels), but we were very well sheltered from the wind.
It's a short drive to other Deep Creek campsites and walks. We saw lots of kangaroos, but they stayed mostly on the hill just outside of the campsite.
Overall, an excellent place and we will likely return, especially during the warmer months.
One of the best camping site to visit easily accessible For Bathroom, Shower and Laundry too
But you need to book the spot inadvance
Really nice campsite, clean toilets and hot showers! Only really big downside is that birds literally attack you when you eat here. We spent 3 nights here but only cooked one meal on the campsite itself because those birds are something else.be warned!
Awesome sites we had toilets clean hot water for showers. The only downside is you are not allowed to pick up dead sticks off the ground to use for starting your fire,
So many awesome grass trees, would rather they had bbqs and water than showers though, seems a bit odd
There should be warning signs about the kookaburras that take food out your mouth or off your table and even off the hot bar b.
Way overpriced in our opin
Great facilities, ie proper toilets, double sink for washing plates and hot showers. Well worth the visit
Fantastic campground to stay at. So much amazing and friendly wildlife that comes up to say hello!
It’s all serene and relaxing until the school bus of high school kids arrive to party.
Wonderful fantastic campsite especially the kookaburra loves getting food when you leave it under tendon so I nickname the kookaburra scab we thought it was all I thought it was very interesting overall very weekend in nature
Wonderful campground. Peaceful setting amidst gumtrees and grasstrees, with plenty of fauna (kangaroos, rosellas, kookaburras) showing up on the nearby plains in the late afternoon
A lovely spot to go camping with lots to do around the area such as the waterfalls, blowhole beach or second valley.
The toilets and showers here are outstanding, considering this is a fairly remote campground. Beautiful surrounds and plenty of walks.
What’s great is that this campsite has hot showers and running water, and flushing toilets. But there is a lot of shade and you can’t see the night sky. Kangaroos come at dusk, and kookaburras hang around for scraps of food and you can get quite close. It’s basically camping at a beginner level with amenities so a good place to start. Every campground has a fire pit which is quite nice but check before you come as during the warm months there are no fires allowed. The price is quite cheap for what you get and you are not far from some interesting hikes or visiting victor harbour.
Great facilities for a bush camp: HOT showers, flushing toilets, wash up sink, and rainwater for drinking (though recommended to treat it first).
Sites are a decent distance apart, with fire pits (Note fire ban is between Nov and April). Some have slight slope but most are flat enough for a comfortable stay.
Lots of wildlife on site: kangaroos, magpies, rosellas, kookaburras, cockatoos. Do check under the toilet seat every time for large ants and spiders - it is a bush camp after all ;-)
Great base to do the walks in the Park, 3 easy walks start at the campsite.
Very nice and clean campground.
The amenities are very good 2 hot showers for each men and women.
It has drink water tap with picnic area.
Very close to Second Valey and Rapid Bay for swimming and lots of woods for exploring.
Camps have fire pit for wood fire in out of fire ban season.
One of the best campground in Deep Creek Convention Park.
This is a great place for a peaceful getaway, to use as a Base Camp to explore the Deep Creek conservation park and even for visiting Cape Jarvis, Rapid Bay.
This campsite has Hot showers and flushing toilets.
The Campsites are large and surrounded by trees.
I stayed there with my family of 5 the youngest almost 4 years old. We did a few walks and a hike.
This was a great place to stay for 4 nights.
I would like to go back when the kids are older to do the more difficult hikes.
