Stonewell Cottages & Vineyards

I booked the Spa Haven suite for 2 nights for my boyfriend’s birthday getaway and we were both blown away with the beauty of the place. I ordered us a couples massage and a BBQ pack for our first night. We had a magical and very romantic night. The candles and bath salts for the spa were a really romantic treat, the free wifi and Netflix (to watch a late night movie snuggled up on the couch) was great. The food provisions provided were absolutely amazing and delicious.
We especially loved having our “Notebook” moment (without the rain) rowing on the lake to the little gazebo on the tiny island in the lake to enjoy a couple of drinks and watching the sunset before rowing around the rest of the lake. Tina’s pre arrival communication was exemplary. She listened to all of my requests and needs and accommodated to everything required. She gave me a list of local micro breweries to visit and checked in with us during the stay to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Evan and the kids were friendly and welcoming.
The little card and gift for my boyfriend’s birthday was an exceptionally lovely and unexpected touch.
We would totally recommend staying at this beautiful and tranquil location. It was definitely worth every cent

We stayed in Cupid’s cottage for 2 nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It was everything we hoped for an much more - the provided food, wine and port was great, and the owners accommodating and easy to deal with.

The location is absolutely idyllic - fronting a lake (with rowboat), and complete tranquility.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

LOVED our stay here with four adults in the Hideaway cottage. This was probably our favourite accommodation during our 4-week trip in Australia

Beautiful little cottage tucked between vineyards with its own little lake to look at. Fantastic produce for breakfast and a few lovely extras supplied. Fantastic!

If I could rate staying at the Stonewell Cottages and Vineyards a 10, I would. The cottage that we stayed at was perfect; the location was perfect; and the hospitality given by Tina and Evan were outstanding. The cottage was warmly and tastefully appointed and the details were impeccable. Nothing was missed inside or outside the cottage. I felt more like I was staying with old friends than the typical B&B. Tina and Evan introduced us to local winemakers in the Barossa Valley allowing us to immerse ourselves in the local Barossa culture.

As an example of how they treated us. The first day we got a flat tire in our rental vehicle. My wife happened to mention this to Tina while we were waiting for RAA to come. Next thing you know it, Evan drove up, picked up our tire and brought it to a local tire shop so we didn't have to worry about where to bring it.

If you really want to know about the Barossa Valley and it's culture stay at least a week. Tina and Evan will take very good care of you.

We recently spent 2 nights in the Hideaway Cottage and what a amazing experience. We couldn’t recommend Stonewell cottages enough. Tina helped organise my proposal and made sure everything ran smoothly, with so many inclusions like the breakfast provisions, food platter, Chocolates and a big bunch of roses.

The setting is perfect to sit back and relax by the lake with the views of the vineyards, and it’s so close to many great wineries.

Thanks for making our experience so enjoyable, it’s one we won’t forget. We cannot wait to visit again in the future.

Hubby and I had a wonderful 3 nights stay at the cottage on the lake. It is such a magnificent quiet location, surrounded by vines and this exquisite lake with ducks, bird life and even a couple of rowing boats… yet easy access to the most fabulous Barossa wineries. The hosts of the cottage had thought of every comfort, and provided lovely, generous breakfasts and snacks. The food nearby in the Barossa was outstanding. We had a really great time. We are coming back for longer next time!

Best accomodation I’ve ever stayed. Loved the experience- the hosts were amazing communicators although we needed nothing throughout our time because everything was so well-provided for! I would recommend to absolutely anyone- such a unique and wonderful experience!

We spent 2 nights at Stonewell Cottages at the end of April, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The cottages and surrounds are indeed beautiful and peaceful. The package available to us at the time included, 2 massages, a large BBQ pack with salads, a lunch experience at The Eatery, a gin flight with complementary bottle of gin at SRD Gin Distillery, early & late checkout, with a fridge full of breakfast food, wine, chocolates and port, in addition, Loccitane bathroom products. The package was very generous and we enjoyed our stay. Every detail was attended to. If we had one criticism, it would be the size of the cottage. We both thought it was a bit small. Overall, a lovely, tranquil place to stay in the Barossa.

Quiet, clean, tranquil, and worth the money. I would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the cottage more as we were out and about most of the time. Will certainly consider making a second trip

Well this was a wonderfully tranquil couple of days. Lovely environment and surrounds with a beautifully presented cottage. While expensive, I can understand why. For special occasions.

We had the most amazing time at the Haven Spa accomm recently; the location was beautiful on the private lake, the food provided was great/generous, and the ambiance was just perfect for our honeymoon! Special highlights were going on the row boat and feeding the ducks each day! We also enjoyed walking around the lake. We did visit some wineries but we really wanted to spend a lot of our time on the property as it was just so relaxing…credit to the serene atmosphere! Tina was really helpful and quick to reply to messages with recommendations etc. We will recommend this to all our friends - great value for money!

Lovely quiet spot to relax and get away. Super convenient and close to all you need in the Barossa.
Fully self-contained with a wood fire.

We kicked off our honeymoon at Cupid’s Cottage and it was perfect! Private but well looked after and all the amenities we could want including fireplace, spa, bath robes etc. Great location to explore the Barossa - highly recommended.

Cupid's cottage was very nice, great provisions. Waterfront experience does not match photo. It's a mosquito farm dam.

Exactly as described - well appointed cottage in great condition supplied with a generous supply of breakfast foods, coffee, milk etc. Really handy location for checking out Barossa region. I would recommend

A little escape overlooking a private lake, with all of the amenities you could ask for. So happy to have found this little piece of happiness in the Barossa.

Marvellous setting! Close friends and family were utterly dazzled when we gave them a virtual tour of the place. Stonewell’s dreamy ambience made our marriage proposal a truly memorable experience. Jessa and I deeply appreciate Tina's warm hospitality, Ben’s luxurious sunset tour, and the superior quality provisions!
