Stone Hut Cottages reviews
21Welcoming staff, comfortable well equiped cabin, and of course the delicious food from the bakery. Will be returning.
Fantastic set up, accomodation is neat and tidy, well presented with friendly staff to welcome you. The bakery is attached nearby with quality food and well maintained animal enclosure to keep the kids (and adults) entertained. Well worth the visit - Thanks for a great stay.
Very nice place to stay and Jean and Colin are the best hostess they will go above and beyond for you, make sure you get the bacon and egg roll for breakfast is the best
Wonderful accommodation, highly recommend it for a stop off to explore the southern Flinders Ranges
My wife and I have just had two very enjoyable days in a Stone Hut Cottage and felt like we had to give the place a big thumbs up. Jenny, Jean, Floss and Dot were wonderful and the food from the Bakery first class. We'd had a poor experience at the place we were at in the days prior to our visit so were thrilled to experience what a hospitable place the SH Cottages are! Lovely, quality rooms with all mod cons. Even a beautiful bathrobe available for our use. We have already recommended it to others and would like to return regularly to base ourselves and see all the fascinating places the Southern Flinders offers. Well done everybody - hope to see you soon!
Lovely and comfortable. All the facilities you could require are provided. Would recommend. Breakfast vat the bakery next door wasn't too great. Would probably go into Wirrabara or Laura
The pies and pasties are great.we stayed in a cabin and it was a relaxing time.cabins are well set up and private.close to other towns to travel around.
The cabins contain everything we needed - extremely comfortable bed, hot water on tap (but rainwater so used sparingly) well equipped kitchen and a welcome bottle of wine. Staff responded immediately when we found we had locked ourselves out. The bakery next door was extremely popular with caravans and cars queuing up down the road and provided a cooked breakfast for those who required it. We have stayed in a variety of accomodation around the world but cannot fault anything about this cabin. Thank you so much to all concerned
Units to suit everyone’s needs. All set within a bush land setting. Come an unwind and relax, close to many attractions in the mid north!
Just remember.that Stone Hut does not have mains water, all the water used is rain water, so it is a very precious resource!
Cabin was fine but I contacted about extra sugar and the fact the front light was not working. The msg showed the msg was read but no response to the first or the two subsequent msges. Also when I booked it stated breakfast but when we arrived at the eatery we where told breakfast was not included. Therefore an expensive overnight stay without the service.
Good sized modern cabins, very quiet garden setting. Close to Laura cycling trail, we stayed to start the Mawson Trail. Would stay again.
For out in the middle of nowhere the cottage are very nice and clean and the people are very friendly
Do yourselves a favour and stay at the Stone Hut Cottages. Having come from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne, some of the things I was hoping to find was peace and quiet while maintaining creature comforts. And boy did Stone Hut Cottages deliver. Friendly and informative staff at every step of the journey, from booking, to staying, to departure and all questions in between. Cabins were very comfortable and not shy on space. All facilities were in room. Looking for excuses to visit again.
Overpriced horrible accomodation. They charged 50 dollars extra for my two babies under 4 years. The room had wall to wall glass doors all three sides WITHOUT block out curtains. I was so embarrassed I had to go to the toilet to change myself so that other guests sitting outside on the lunch table doesnt see inside, through the transparent curtains of the glass door. No privacy what so ever. And we paid 180 for a single room. Needless to say never again
Modern, clean and comfortable. Great base to walk or cycle near by Wirrabara Forest and Mt Remarkable National Park.
Lovely rooms. Very friendly owners. Great coffee and food in a beautiful environment
Would definitely recommend it
I’ve been here many times for work. Looking for an excuse to bring the fam. Very friendly staff. Cute rooms with basic cooking facilities. Rooms always very clean.
Great town and surrounding area.
An exellent place to stay with cute stand alone cottages good food and service from the bakery.
Fantastic accommodation, great value, breakfast of champions. Country hospitality at it's best.
We staid here on a recent trip from Melbourne and were absolutely stoked with the quality and ambience offered at this place.
Quaint is a word that really doesn't do justice to what is on offer here. If you want genuine Australian bush accommodation that offers all the comforts this is your choice. We couldn't recommend more highly,
5 stars for sure.
