Stepneys Salvage

Love the concept was disappointed that there is absolutely no salvaged items it's all new looking vintage items which have not been made in Australia, the doors had stock in boxes located behind them which stated this.
The staff members weren't helpful or welcoming either

Very disappointed to see a huge cut down of products. A few bits and bobs but not like it used to be.

Stepney salvage is not wat it used to be. I was sooooooooo disappointed and expencive. I loved the old doors they used to get in. Nope, no more. Not going to go back.

CHANGE THE GIANT SIGN WITH YOUR OPENING HOURS. THEY ARE WRONG.wasted my time. Won't bother coming back

Very rude, arrogant and disrespectful staff that think they can treat and speak to people like absolute dogs. Obviously it’s a very hostile, unprofessional, unhappy and volatile environment and they all need to learn communication and interpersonal skills. All of these disabilities that they have stems from their upbringing and childhood trauma and experience so I suggest that they all need to get some sort of counseling and medical help to address their issues.

Disappointing they couldn't put their Easter trading hours on the door so we didn't have to wait around for a couple of hours (from interstate) to find out they weren't opening ️

We have been going to Stepneys for years. Sometimes buying nothing, just walking around having a look at all the nice things to buy. Today we splurged and bought a few items that we fell in love with. Alex helped us out to the car and helped me load the cupboard into the car which was extremely heavy. Great service as always. See you again soon

Fantastic shop full of desirable items four your home. As well as some very querky items. Good fun to browse.

Purchased a mirror a few weeks ago, looks fantastic! Always love having a browse through this place regularly, as they do have some unique items!

This is an unusual place to shop, the service is very grim, and they have made up their own return policy where you can’t return things with a receipt if the package is opened.
This instore policy is actually contrary to your rights as a consumer. I have purchased some light switches and have been told I will not be able to return them for a refund if they are open.
The lady behind the counter told me it’s the same as if I go to a store and try on underpants I wouldn’t be able to return them, but I can’t quite see the connection between light switches returned on the same day with a receipt and a pair of underpants?

Sadly, the retro aspect of the store has gone. Now it’s more reproduction items, and sadly yes, exorbitant prices. Still, a good wander through

Great place for amazing animal and different types of famous and novelty statutes and metal signs.

Stepney salvage is the best place to find antique fittings although back in the day it use to have more real antiques not it has a lot of reproduction pieces but still worth a look take your credit card as it can cost pretty penny but best quality guaranteed.

Wow! So much to look at. Decorative Door knobs. Older style furniture made of real wood! Bricks, photos, knick knacks, glass wear. Real life, looking Animals and people. Fascinating shop! Friendly staff!

Absolutely great if your renovating or want something a bit different Stepney's is the place to go.

The product is great. The service is pretty shocking. A sales rep had upset my partner and mother on two different occasions. She was reportedly sarcastic and blunt and since then, I can confirm she’s made quite the reputation for herself. Zero remorse and zero responsibility. See if she rubs you up the wrong way too!
