STARplex Swim Centre reviews
15 Great Atmosphere, Great Facility, Great Community Environment, Great Customer Service, Great Programs Overall 5 STARplex
Personally enjoy the Aqua Aerobics Classes
Great place for my nieces swimming lessons, but no fresh air in the swimming cnt, so blood hot and muggy
Well equipped, well managed Northern Adelaide/ Gawler South fitness complex with 25 metre lap pool. Good times for lap swimming and competitive pricing. Friendly atmosphere
I was luck enough to get really good seats in the members area. Food and drink priced over the top and always have been
Had a few swim classes with toddler. Floors very slippery to walk on, small change rooms. Classes arent divided up in pool (there could be few other groups of children in other lessons that swim past you in yours) not enough room to perform certain things when class is full and other classes going on aswell.
No option to leisurely swim in a pool while waiting for class or practice after? Might be something to look at?
Instructors however, are very nice and bubbly and is probably biggest draw card.
Crèche is great. The personal trainers are friendly and helpful.
Only attempted swimming once and was kicked out of the pool because it’s rarely available.
End of the day the gym can be quite unhelpful and has some rude receptionists. Clients should be made to feel warm and not belittled by staff all for cash.
Make sure you read what you sign at this gym because you might not get what you want.
The car park seemed like a race track for busy mums and dads, cars flying around 40km plus with children and toddlers walking around im almost certain someone will be run over or hit by a car sooner or later.the food is mostly deep fried junk, not the kind of food you would encourage your kids to eat when your trying to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Make no mistake, this place is all about finding ways to get your money. If you miss a session or class, kiss the money good bye. Make up lessons might be offered but only in very narrow inconvenient time slots.
We played the Australia Day carnival over the long weekend and it was great. It's the best stadium in Adelaide. Good selection of food and the place was well air conditioned. The centre also opened up the pool for carnival participants which was awesome. Great job guys.
Staff turn over in cafe is a huge no no owners need to change there attitudes. Most of us now have to go elsewhere, which is not ideal. And to say it is because of racism is a huge slap in the face from owners.
Staff actually care. I was able to avoid shoulder surgery thanks to the wellness centre and their knowledge.
Great pools everything needed to get fit and to help to get well from accidents or injury for young and old, good physios are there to help, great for children to learn to swim well, supervised reasonable costs
I go to Starplex on Tues and Thurs for my Fit Life group. I have heart probs plus other medical probs. But i am 69 years old and have been going to Starplex as i was told to go to a Gym by the medical people. I searched many Gyms and haven't regreted going to Starplex. It has great workout machines and the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. You only have to ask any of them.
Clean and tidy.
Helpful and kind staff.
An aray of services available.
Canteen with a large menu.
Good coffee.
Can enter as non members and use facilities as well as with a membership.
You pay a lot for not much. They boast about having huge facilites, but its all pools of courts, and then only have those things because its a part of Trinity college. They're actual gym room has barely any machines. Some of the staff seemed nice enough though.
