Star Dumplings

Food was great and tasty - had the stir fried chicken with rice - until I noticed a large piece of plastic in my food that looked like there might also have been small pieces left in my food. A but worried for what I might have eaten now.

Noodles are hand-pulled and fantastic, can't say enough good things about the dumplings, and the chili oil kicks up anything and everything

These were the best dumplings we ever had. We had the pork steamed dumplings, chicken fried dumplings, & lamb steamed dumplings.

Make sure you try the special lamb dumplings although they do take a few minutes longer to arrive.

The steamed dumplings were fresh and juicy, while the fried dumplings were pan fried and not at all greasy. Dumplings come out quickly so be ready!

We also enjoyed the Mongolian beef and spicy chicken.

Make sure to get some chili oil to accompany the delicious dumplings.

Seating is limited inside, and there are a few outside seats. Perfect to enjoy the dumplings and the seats turn over quickly.

Best dumplings in Adelaide! You might almost miss this place as it is not as big as their competitors but their food is top quality. Appears to be run by a family. One of the first few places I tried in Adelaide and I have to say, it doesn't disappoint! The dumplings are very addicting and go extremely well with their chili oil and vinegar. Available in steamed and pan fried. Apart from their dumplings, you have to try house special hand pulled noodles - chunky, stretchy and glossy. I prefer the rice dishes more and all their meats are succulent and cooked to perfection. Seating is limited so avoid the rush hours. Recommended - Pork dumplings, Chicken and prawn dumplings, Beef and chicken fried rice, chili chicken.

Great little restaurant for noodles. Generous serves and friendly service. Good value for money. A favourite place for lunchtime.

Got the beef fried rice and stir fry pork with vegetables - just sat down and BAM the food was served.wasn't even 5 minutes after i ordered.the food was mad bomb too! Amazingly flavorful without being too overwhelming, HUGE portion, smoky and wonderful.would give 6 stars if i could.only teeny tiny minus was the stir fry was a bit oily and not enough variety of veggies, but overall no complain at all.

Nice taste dumplings. Sauce is great taste too.
I think it would be better if it’s steamed because you get all the juices inside each dumplings

Some of the best dumplings we've tried. Definitely try the chefs special lamb dumplings, although the pork is also delicious.

I got fried pork dumplings and just found a long black hair in one of them. Can I suggest you wear hair nets when preparing and cooking food.

Delicious authentic Chinese food, the hand made noodles were awesome and dumplings are just the right ratio of meat to dough. Prices are very good for the size and quality of food.

Dumplings were fantastic, great price, large size and good flavour. The hand pulled noodles were great too. Recommended for a no frills great meal.

Tried: Stir fried beef and vegetables with rice
Waiting time: 20mins, I ordered around 9pm.
Taste: was really good! Sauce tastes delicious, veggies are crunchy, beef is tender, and the whole serving is just filling!
Place: it's rather small, only about 15people can fit inside. So one can consider takeaway:)

Looks unassuming on the outside, but has absolutely delicious food and fast service. We got lamb noodles and beef with rice. Everything tasted beautifully homemade, meat was mouthwatering and the capsicum was perfectly cooked, fresh and crunchy. Just the right amount of spice. The service was also very fast - we had a bit less than an hour to eat before going to the opera, but the food came so fast we were finished in perfect time. Thank you so much, we look forward to visiting again next time we're in that part of town.

The food waited for one hour, and the five tables after me all finished delivering food, but I did not. The boss replied without apology, your order is relatively small,
so all the later customers can eat first?

They probably microwave the dumplings and I have a really bad burn in my mouth. Not advised unless you have a LOT of time to sit around.

They called me names when I tried to tell them about it (subtly).

Fried beef noodles and pork dumplings are Highly recommend. Noodles and dumplings are freshly handmade. Good food, good people. Chief and Owner are friendly, everytime I visit SA this is my place to go.

After finding your brand besides street, we know your restaurant is probably a Xinjiang style restaurant, or maybe more Northwest style of China. So we politely asked for lamb pilaf. If you do not serve this dish, we can totally understand, but what is the attitude of say only no impatiently and never turn around? Is it really polite for service industry?
I am not ranking the dish, only the attitude. Please don't make misunderstanding of our view about Chinese. I can't believe you are so impatient, most Chinese I met are not the same.

Food was great, especially the noodle dishes. But the waitress was not very hospitable which is unfortunate. I won't be coming back.

Very disappointed with our meal, ordered Veg dumplings and received pork dumplings that were deep fried until crunchy instead of steamed, the sauce was also putrid. We were also lucky enough to be overcharged on our drinks, they made us pay twice for our drinks claiming that we weren't charged for them when our bank statement shows otherwise. Not recommended.will not be returning.
