Nice hidden spot in the town. The staff were very friendly and the service was ok. Most of the Indian dishes were nice except for a bit of too much sugar in the curries. Naan was very nice but the oysters were quite average and maybe not so fresh. I'd come back to this place for Indian food only.

Walking distance from Discovery Parks Port Augusta. Excellent quality food using traditional cooking techniques. Ordered the samosa, dahl and goat curry. The goat curry was a highlight. Service was friendly and attentive. This place was busy on a Tuesday so would recommend booking to avoid missing out. Thankfully they were able to accommodate us without a booking. Highly recommended.

Standpipes Restaurant, adjacent to Port Augusta Golf Course, is a hidden gem. Its proximity to the golf course makes it perfect for post-game relaxation. The diverse menu caters to all tastes, and the attentive service and cozy ambiance complete the experience. A delightful dining destination!

Fantastic Indian food! The vegetarian and meat thalis are both filling. Lots of bus groups come through here. They offer a buffet option as well.

Delicious food and very nice staff. We spent a night here and room was clean with good cozy vibes.

The Indian food here at this place is not recommended, so not come here if you are thinking of good Indian food, it’s very average

The Standpipe Restaurant offers a dual menu - Australian and Indian. I was keen to have the Indian menu. The staff are friendly and the service was prompt. They have a decent wine list. The food was good! The curries were delicious as were the samosas and naan breads. A good Port Augusta option.

Very good staff so the service was excellent. Efficient. The food was very good. But our butter chicken wasn't as tasty as I expected. We had been spoilt by Darwin Indian restaurants, where lots of Indian people eat. We had three entrees and three accompaniments and one main. Plus a bottle of wine. Whilst their wine list is not extensive it is exceptionally well priced and some good quality wines. We enjoyed a Paulette's Rosé.
I'd certainly eat there again if I'm in Port Augusta.

The service is lovely, the food delicious and the decor, though dated, is comfortable rather than over-classy.
It is an ideal place to stop for a feed, whether at the end of a long day or just for the heck of it.
I highly recommend the Standpipe Hotel Restaurant.

Wow - absolutely sensational Indian cuisine! With an extensive menu, there’s bound to be a dish to keep everyone happy. Of course, we ended up ordering too much but we were able to bag up the remainder and take it home. Friendly service and beautiful venue

Oldest indianb restaurant in port August as I know. You can take away ordered food to your room. It is not easy to access from town centre. But very quiet placebto enjoy your meal. There is lots of menu with big table to have a small gathering and event.

Amazing food, great service. We sat outside in the cold in July as we had our pup with us but didn’t even feel the cold as everything was so good.

Had one of the best experiences at Sandpipe. Food was sensational, top recommendations from chef Nev, and service was spot on. Highly recommend if looking for authentic Indian and modern Australian meals in Port Augusta!

Food was delicious but even more importantantly service was exceptional.

We ordered takeaway to be collected by taxi and brought to us at our hotel which caused all sorts or drama with the taxi. The restaurant on the otherhand was wonderful.

Standpipe has amazingly authentic dishes, and even though they were at capacity, we did not feel crowded nor rushed. The atmosphere is light, and the stellar servers are there to look after you and ensure a great dining experience throughout!

Our stay at Standpipe motor Inn was great. We reached around 8 am for 2 pm check in and Jamie at the reception was really really sweet and helpful as he was able to provide a room that early for us due to availability. We were really exhausted from the night's drive and he was able to get us a room quickly.

Really nice Indian food authentic and delicious. Some of the best I have ever had! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
