2St OswaldAnglican Church Parkside is 2 St Ann's Place near Glen Osmond Rd corner. Built in 1902 in the gothic style it has tiled mosaic floor, a carved redress above the high alter, a carving of John the Baptist and the semi hexagonal chancel is surrounded by an ambury, for processions; the first in Adelaide. This church is noted for its choir, has a 'Centre for Spirituality' and is a community faith centre. It features during the history week when tours are explained.
We love this beautiful old Anglican church. Small family-friendly and diverse community. Very welcoming. Sunday services at 9.45am featuring uplifting music, inspiring sermon, provision of activities for children by safer ministries approved volunteers and morning tea to follow. Shorter Thursday morning service also provided. Regular social and community events outside of worship times too (quiz night, movie nights, art shows, music events, etc).
