My Adelaide based friend took some UK visitors to this winery yesterday.they were shocked by the rude treatment they received.fortunately there are no shortage of similar sites of interest in the area. Grantburge for example where they spent up.

Enjoyed the wine and choc pairing. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and welcomed our dog. Beautiful surroundings and great wines, really enjoyed the Garden of Eden and Faith Shiraz, hard to pick a favourite.

Great wines and nice setting albeit a very inflexible tasting policy. No option to redeem no matter how much wine you buy. Instead you are encouraged to sign up to their wine club to get your tasting fees back in ‘discount’.

Beautiful venue, manicured lawn, great place for the kids to play, great live music when we were there. Vietnamese lunch wagon made lunch easy. Completely ruined by the way we were spoken to while parking, apparently we missed a sign (as did the other 2 cars in our party all arriving at different times).

Quoting the rude lady, "If I had a dollar for every time someone said that. " Well if that's the case invest in some new signage rather than barrelling up to your guests as they're trying to get a new born baby and a vision impaired child out of the car.

Usually, St. Hallett wines are fine for the price point in bottle shops; but the cellar door experience was not so great. Location is lovely and so is staff; but the wines were not good whatsoever especially for the price point. Was quite disappointed unfortunately.

Me and my partner are travelling around SA in a campervan and decided to stop off at St Hallett whilst passing through the Barossa. Harry looked after us and was a really great and friendly host. The wine was impeccable and so was the cheeseboard! We bought a bottle of their rose to take away. All of the other staff were also very accommodating and it's a chilled, dog friendly environment. Highly recommend!

Had a really lovely wine tasting experience. Helen was so helpful and friendly explaining the differences in the wines. And the wines were lovely. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful wines and friendly staff. The lawn area is so relaxing and perfectly kept. The Rosé was exceptional and tasted like strawberries

I was hesitant to come because of the negative reviews I read on here, but because I love the Faith Shiraz, I wanted to come anyway. At first we were underwhelmed because we arrived along with a ton of other cars and groups so they were a little run off their feet, but once everyone was in and seated, the service was great. Yes, we had to read about each wine but we also asked questions and were given a really great reception by Melissa. We are used to having to pay for tastings so it didn’t bother us. We also signed up to their free wine club, which meant we got discounts on everything we purchased. They are also one of few wineries that are dog friendly so our fur baby could stay with us while we tasted. We will definitely be back!

Really like their Faith Shiraz, which is why I wanted to visit. They use the tasting to let you try other, less availible wines, all are nice to try. The site itself is very pretty and its worth sitting outside with a glass just to enjoy.

We had a tasting booked for late afternoon but unfortunately our car had mechanical issues and we didn’t make it. We were leaving the Barossa the next morning but decided to call in and let them know what happened and see if we could do the tasting we missed. The lady was so rude and did not make us feel at all welcome like it was the biggest imposition. While we were doing the tasting another small group came in and she was also very rude to them.

We went there today for a wine and cheese tasting.
The selections were excellent for both.
The staff were very knowledgeable.
It was clean and tidy.
If you were just going for a tasting there is a huge selection, you won't be disappointed.
I definitely recommend the visit.

We love visiting the St Hallett Cellar Door. Not only are their wines lovely, the staff are super friendly and helpful and the surrounds are beautiful. A glass of wine and cheese platter on the lawns is one of my favourite things to do in the Barossa, and even better, our dog is welcome with us. One of the beautiful staff members even gave him a schmacko at one of our visits. It made our day!

Very hard to rate a winery because everyone has different tastes and price point's. But the experience by four of us was fabulous. We all loved the six wines we tasted and purchased five of them.

Disappointing tasting experience. Our host provided a paper place mat and 5 glasses of poured wine. We were left to read the place mat. The host didn’t offer any information on the wines or winery (which our group of 4 loves about a tasting experience). The $20 per head was not offset against wine purchase. Wines were underwhelming- cannot believe this is a James Halliday 5-star winery. Yes, lovely grounds.

Had the red tasting and cheese platter, both were excellent. Definitely dog friendly. Lawns are amazing and nice place relax and drink a glass of wine. Very friendly hosts and bought lots of wine! Will be back!

Had the tasting and cheese platter in the cellar tasting room. Was a lovely experience and enjoyed all the wines, particularly the nouveau shiraz. The chees platter was a selection of local cheeses, fruit and spreads and was fun mixing and matching these as well.

Booked for a 2 person tasting at 4pm over the phone yesterday. Paid $30 for a cab there, turned up to be told they decided to close early. Great customer service to book but terrible once we were there. 0 resolutions or apologies, extremely disappointed.
