St Georges Bakehouse reviews
49The atmosphere is great I know the pies are good to. Ordered the parmi, not what I imaged however it's was good, first time I finished a salad. Certainly at that price and size of my chicken I kind of had to. I did enjoy it though.
We stopped here for take-away at 1: 30.great variety of pastries, rolls and wraps with amazing looking deserts and cakes.
We both had chicken & avocado focaccia's they were awesome
The staff are great, very friendly and they work so well together. They didn't keep us waiting long for our order.o
Brilliant, Thanks guys.
(. Only negative was plate with left over food, Looked like pieces of a bacon toastie on a table and big piece of bacon on the floor.)
The vegetarian pasty is dog food tier.
But I do recommend the coffees there! Amazing
I’ve only eaten from the snack bar but there’s no love in the food. Poor quality.
Coffee not the greatest either.
Don’t want to sound mean but not sure about the hygiene levels… pity
Since starting to come here early on in the year, this has become one of my family's FAVOURITE places to grab a delicious lunch or coffee. The staff are super lovely, the coffee is always perfection, and their ready-to-go rolls and focaccias are always fresh and tasty. The salami and basil pesto focaccia and chicken caesar rolls are our favs.
I also feel it's important to point out that the business has been taken over by new owners within the last year. As such, any negative reviews left before this time should certainly be ignored, as they are not the responsibility of the new owners and staff, who are - in my humble opinion - wonderful people.
I couldn't recommend St Georges Bakehouse more highly!
Update: Just went in for breakfast for the first time, and.it was AMAZING. My daughters had toasties and sandwiches, whilst I tried the vegetarian breakfast. It did not disappoint! So much food and super tasty. Can't wait to go back.
Couldn’t believe they close off the fresh sandwich side at 1.00pm but don’t close until 4.00pm so if you want something to eat you have to order the pre made
I first went here just cause I was bored and wanted to chill out someplace and I had a coffee to try. The coffee I had was a flat white with oat milk and I really enjoyed it. So a week later when I came back I decided to try the cheese cake they had. It was alright but I would've liked the brown base to be the crumbed baked stuff you'd normally get in a cheesecake. The cream cheese part really felt not as creamy as the other cheesecakes I've had in the past which was a real let down for me. It all didn't go down with me too well but I think it's more of a taste preference. I will update this review in the future as I try more of their options.
I have been here several times in the last couple of weeks and coffee was excellent, pies were delicious and vanilla slice was fresh and fantastic. Staff were great.
Used to be great. New management is poor. Portion sizes are sub par and quality of food is lower. I used to eat here multiple times a week but I rairly visit anymore which is a huge shame.
No good. Old management were a lot better. Some girls have attitudes, they forget orders, talking while your waiting on drinks, pastries are sometimes cold. Just a poor effort
If you’re after a great coffee and delicious breakfast you can’t go past the Bakehouse for quality AND price value! The breakfast and coffee is as good as any top shelf cafe. Great service attitude is what’s behind it all!
I don't think I've ever had a freah cake of any sorts in this establishment. Every time it Tate's stale. Coffee good.
Good coffee, really nice pastries and friendly people. Definitely worth a stop in if you're hungry for baked goods in the area.
Easy parking, friendly staff but sold stale danish, but the young lady serving proffered another fresher cake (not a danish), didn't look like they baked on the premises. Four stars because of staff
This was my weekend breakfast spot. Not the first time I have been here since new management and every time I have noticed the same, the food has lost its quality and portion size. Got a big breakfast with small toast, no butter, under cooked mushrooms, bland eggs, uncooked spinach leaf, uncooked cherry tomatoes (used to have grilled tomatoes) sausage was good, bacon was good. Also got eggs benedict, small portion, uncooked spinach leaf.
I used to rate this place 5 stars, was amazing but has definitely changed and no where near as good
Also no staff wore masks, all 4 staff members did not have a mask on the entire 20 minutes we were there.
Won't be back, we will find a new weekend breakfast place.
Having mentioned to the staff, on 3 different occasions, that they need to be wearing masks, they still don't.
Food ok. New owners. Big breakfast not so big any more. Very light on with the bacon. Lot of noise from the renos going on in the supermarket next door. Will give it one more go. If no improvement will be going elsewhere.
The staff were extremely friendly. The food was served quickly and the meal sizes were generous
The female server, I'm assuming was one of the owners, otherwise would surely be sacked, was extremely rude & unfriendly. She didn't smile once & when I asked for the 2 different pastries to be put in seperate bags as they were for 2 seperate households she threw them in the bag & walked off. Wow! This was the first time I have visited this bakery & will definitely be the last.
Was very disappointed in this cafe. I came in to have a coffee and needed to use the facilities with my one year old. I was told to wait very rudely. My daughter is just toilet trained so cannot wait to use a toilet. I had to take her to the lovely dentists down the shops.
The cafe almost had a very large urine accident on their floor.
Very sad and rude
