The arrogant idiot [Name Removed] in the service department didn't bother calling before making expensive repairs—also, terrible customer service. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Guru from Spitwater (mobile service tech) came yesterday did an excellent and thorough service on our spitwater pressure cleaner, and also a few handy hints, when finishing a job with the cleaner. Much appreciated

After a few teething problems the high pressure cleaner work's a treat. What used to take an hour now takes me 5 minutes

Spitwater! "That's what it does" is a common responce I get when I ask about their products to various people I deal with day to day. Their on road service team are top notch, I remember one of them coming to service my pressure cleaner he had his toe tapping, boot scooting, line dancing music going sipping his Pepsi Max while spinning his spanners. Loving life, seems like a great bunch of blokes with a positive attitude to life and their work. Maybe I need to hire a boss like theirs?

I first started dealing with Spit-Water Adelaide 2 years ago buying vacuum cleaners and pressure cleaners for our business. Since then, I won't use anyone else. They are always there when I have a technical question, or need advice, I just ring and ask for Anthony, Jim or Frank. Superstars. They have Professional, personal service.

Michael & Steve were dreadful to deal with at the Spitwater SA branch on Grand Junction Road. So many other providers out there that would provide a better service

Unprofessional, irresponsible, overcharged and lack of ownership on a simple service

Spitwater SA gave us a quote for approx. $500 to service 2 water pressure units which we approved and gave Steve, the service manager approval to complete the job. We were aware prior to dropping of the equipment that one pump had a flat battery and one was working normally but required an annual service as with all our onsite equipment.

Once the service was complete, we were notified that the work had been completed and they were ready to collect, however, the cost was now in excess of $1,500+ including cost of oil and fuel filters which we would expect to be part of a standard service. At no stage were any of our staff informed of any additional costs. They completed the additional works without consent.

Steve, the service manager, acknowledged that this was a fault on their part and offered a discount of roughly $150 only. We refused and after much confrontation, they agreed to complete the original work, as quoted and to reinstall the original parts. This was agreed and carried out.

Unfortunately, the problem doesn’t stop there. On picking up the pumps and trying to use them, one pump now constantly switches off after 30 seconds of use which did not occur before. We are now in a worse position than prior to engaging with Spitwater.

We have raised this issue with Steve again but they are lacking ownership and asking for us to take the pumps back around to the store for them to look again at our time and expense. Our staff have been to their workshop over three times to date which was supposed to be for a simple service. This delay is now costing our business money as it’s impacting daily activities. The attempted $150 compensation is becoming more insulting everyday as our business continues to be put out as a result of our engagement with Spitwater.

Furthermore, we have requested to speak with the manager at Spitwater, Michael Hooper, but we were advised he was unavailable for over a week and were refused contact details to contact him directly. We would hope for prompt action and ownership from the leader of their business

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY

Hello Michael, thanks for your response.

Firstly, why are we needing to chase you? Secondly, our staff were instructed not to deal with Steve and await your response as Steve made it abundantly clear that he was unable to help and had already been given an opportunity to resolve the issue prior to us taking this action.

Do I need to remind you that this all came about because of his incompetence? Are you prepared to take ownership of this? The ball is in your court…

Bought a small pressure cleaner about a month ago from Spitwater, Wingfield, Adelaide. Today I have been having troubles with it so took it straight back today and told them it was not working properly. Anthony in the service dept.without any questions quickly whisked it out into the workshop, no ifs or buts and gave it the once over finding that the nozzle in the wand was block and also a faulty valve on the pump. He replaced the parts, tested it, explained to me what had happened. Gave me a run through on the operation of the machine and handed it back, all in about 30 minutes. What brilliant service. I'm not suggesting that servicing would happen this quickly all the time but on this occasion it was brilliant and to top it off other guys in the service workshop came over to assist Anthony. All were very pleasant people in particular Anthony. Where do you get service like that these days?

I purchased my pressure cleaner some years ago through Spit water. At the time great service and very helpful. The product has been great over the years.

I would however caution people to get quoted correctly and not use their mobile service. Recently I got my machine serviced onsite. Technician was driving a beat up very old van, didn't have it fully stocked even though it was the first job in the morning.

Subsequently the service was performed, machine is running okay now. Paid by credit card and was charged and a few weeks later I received another bill for a higher amount and was told I hadn't paid. Its on my bank statement that I did so thought this would be an easy fix so called the store. I was very wrong! They never got back to me and again a few months later I got another bill.

The customer service and follow up with accounts is disgusting.

I am now selling my machine and swapping to different company, machines are good, great products but there service is disgusting!

UPDATE: Within hours of posting this review I have been contacted by spit water they are now following up again. Lets see what happens this time.

UPDATE 12/11/2018: Since posting this review the owner of spitwater has been touch and now resolved this issue. Although it would have been good to be resolved a long time ago I am glad it now has been sorted.

All i would suggest now that is if you ever have an issue with customer service go straight to the owner as he gets it sorted and in a timely manner! Happy to now recommend them and use again as i now have his direct number which he offered!

Purchased 2 x hydro jet from Allen at spit water. I have had nothing but issues since day day one. Constant blow outs on internal joints that were not even related ro the hose. They were quick to respond which is good but I have had so many issues with my hydro jet. My last blow out cost me $4500 as it flooded my van. It flooded my electronics in my van.this product was installed incorrectly. The jet was only 6 months old and I spoke to Michael hooper/state manager and he said it wasn't under warranty? I have since gone to JETWAVE and there service has been great. They advise that the hydro jets I purchased from spit water was built cheap and that it was installed incorrectly. I cant even service my hydro jet beacuse of the way it was installed. I now need to spend $1200 so it's accessible for JETWAVE to repair. They were speechless about the install.
Spit water need more education in installing hydro jets before charging people a premium price for a dodgey product

Great product, great people! The owner Michael Hooper goes out of his way to make my life easier by supplying me the right equipment, first time, every time, and at a reasonable price.

I've been using Spitwater SA products since we purchased our first vacuum cleaner from them in 2002 and now have pressure cleaners, fire pumps, fans and all sorts of products for our property. Even now I still take my kit back to them for the annual servicing even though we have moved interstate.

Great service, fast response to calls, reliable and always working to offer better (and often cheaper) solutions to the challenges we've talked to them about.

I have been dealing with Spitwater SA for the past 28 years, actually since their inception. Bought and hired many machines over that time and have had nothing but excellent service from a very professional group of people. Sadly must say that is a little hard to find at times these days.
