Specialists on College reviews
20 After being told by my GP I would have to wait 12-18 months to get a new neurologist appointment, I found specialists on college. I heard back from them soon after my referral was sent through and was able to book my appointment within the month!
Dr Kate Johnson was friendly and was able to assist with my certificate of fitness to drive. She promptly found all my background information from my previous neurologist from 10 years ago and wrote a letter for certificate of fitness to drive within two days of visiting her.
I appreciate Dr Kate Johnson and her team for making this process extremely easy and stress free.
A/ prof Andrew Lee has been my Neurologist for 14 years. I have always found him to be caring and thorough. He has listened to my concerns and answered any questions and put any worries to rest
Had a nerve conduction study on the 1st.
Dr. Lee was amazing! He explained everything to me about my issue and answered my questions.
Im currently seeing professor Andrew Lee
Specialist on collage
I would highly recommend professor Lee and his team they were lovely and caring (reception staff and assistant.
Professor Lee listened and treated me really well very respectful and is helping me, with what he is able, and helping piont me in the direction for other thing's. I wil continue to see him.
I felt as a whole they all went beyond and above to help, (exceptional care given) he really does care about his clients
Highly recommended
I saw Dr Lee and had nerve conduction studies done by his technician. I had mixed up my appointment time, and his reception staff were delightful - not only were they polite, they were understanding and kind. They made sure I was able to be seen on that day, and Dr Lee with his quirky sense of humour explained exactly what he thought was happening with me in terms that I could understand. It was a breath of fresh air attending his rooms. Thank you to all of you!
I just had a nerve conduction test with Dr roula Gawe, and my experience was very unpleasant and she was very rude and short when I tried to ask her some questions about the results. I would not see her again and perhaps try Dr Lee next time.
Had a nerve conduction study today. The technician, Marika, was so patient and lovely. I was one of THOSE patients (sorry Marika).
Dr. Lee was great. Took the time to explain everything to me and answered my questions.
Friendly and efficient front desk girls. Thank you.
This so called visit was extremely upsetting I was asked to come into the rooms to discuss results only to be told don’t bother to sit down because it will take you longer to get up than for me to give you the results of what’s wrong.
Extremely frustrating experience. Long wait time with almost no information given during the appointment. He appeared more concerned with the half eaten lunch and checking the time on his watch. He barely said two sentences before trying to get me to leave. After pressing him, all he could state were vague generalisations and that he couldn't give me more answers until another consultation. My favorite line was that he's mostly booked out until 2025.
It was a struggle to find a park for my appointment but I think Dr Lee is an extremely good neurologist. I’d recommend him, just allow time to find a park!
I got lost on the way to my appointment and the front desk staff were very nice. They were helpful and patient with me. Cheers
Dr Lee was very friendly, and thorough in diagnosing the issue and trying a few options until he found one that worked for me.
Accompanied my mother-in-law who had been referred to Dr Lee and he quickly ruled out any neurological problem suggesting what we could do to find answers. We were reassured and content with his diagnosis.
I found Dr Lee was very friendly and professional. He was very good at explaining my diagnosis in layman's terms. I left the appointment very confident with his explanations.
Dr Andrew Lee was the rudest and arrogant specialist I have ever seen. No empathy shown at all. I will not be returning.
Waited two weeks for a call to advise about an appointment while my referral was being triaged. On enquiry was told still waiting for this happen with no time-frame able to be advised as to when this might happen. Pretty disappointing service.
I had the unfortunate experience of being referred to 'Dr'. Andrew Lee, for a simple nerve test (not administered by him), as part of trying to identify a disorder, no consultation involved; I would not recommend him to anyone, and have since been warned by multiple specialists to steer clear of him. He has a very poor reputation among the medical community from the information I've been given by excellent, reliable, renowned specialists in the same field.
I did not have a consultation with him, but had to speak to him briefly about my test results. In less than a minute, with NO medical history, NO symptoms, NO medical records, he was trying to diagnose me as definitely not having a neurological based problem.seriously.we were gobsmacked. I raised this with him, querying how he was diagnosing a patient with no relevant information, at all. The response I got was "Not to sound arrogant, but I've been doing this a long time".
I have since been diagnosed with a very rare, progressive, neurological disorder by a whole team of far superior, actually competent medical professionals.
So, in summary: yes, arrogant. Also, incompetent, rude, and 100% wrong with his apparently unique take on medicine where you diagnose patients by random guessing.
I know Neurologists are difficult to access in SA, but if you value your health, avoid this quack like the plague.
I found Dr Tan rude and arrogant. He refused to listen to my Husband as he explained his ailments. He also lacks any basic knowledge of nutrition and its effect on cholesterol.
Andrew Lee is kind and caring. He visited me round 9.30pm after a long day.he looked exhausted. He explained what he though had happened and told me what he was thinking re treatment options. I cannot recommend enough.
Save your self time and money and go to someone that knows what they are doing. Not a very good experience at all. NOT recommended!
