SOYABAE ASIAN EATERY AND DUMPLING HOUSE reviews
22The food is great, brilliant choices of variety fresh on the menu and full of texture and it feels like home.
The service is very good and the taste is delicious. The fried rice noodles have a lot of meat.
These is absolutely not chongqing lazi chicken. Having been a chingqingese for more than twenty years, never imaging lazi chicken can be like this
This was such a good find. Small shop, best to have a booking. Plenty of food choices on the menu. The soft shell crab was really good. Lamb ribs was the best, so fatty and juicy. Pad Thai was nice. Unfortunately the xiao long bao, dumplings were very underwhelming. It came out so small and there was no soup in the dumpling. Felt like they were from Costco. Fried fish looked good but it was over fried until biting was difficult. Most of the other dishes are worth trying at least. Just a tad bit too much MSG on some of the dishes which make them too salty. Friendly staff.
We had the laksa and Kwan Teow. Both were very generous serves and deliciously authentic.
Food is always delicious and the servings are huge! If you want good food and a cost effective meal, come here. Very underrated restaurant, I cannot recommend enough
Great restaurant to try some asian fusion food. There were a lot of people on that day, and only 1 person was there to serve, take order, and clean, so it was pretty chaotic. The food on the other had was pretty good. I didn't think that the dumpling was worth it, but the Taiwan braised beef was definitely good. The beef was extremely tender and delicious. The curry, on the other hand was good, but it had little bit too much salt. Overall this place it still good and would go there again.
We had truffle dumplings, some pan fried chicken dumplings, laksa & custard dumplings to finish & it was all scrumptious! The person serving that night was friendly & very efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Fantastic food, fast and friendly service on a Saturday night, and a nice environment to be in.
A real gem - was very quiet on a Monday lunch time but the staff assured us night time was their busy time,
The dumplings were delicious as were the fried wontons. The star was the plate of mixed vegetables - the best I've ever had.
My friend had been previously and loved the soft shell crab. A return visit is needed
Unperfessional staff and chef they dont know how talk with customer i have waited 45+ mnt still said we can not prepared yet
Amazing food. Portions are massive. Wife ordered the Lakes, which was more like curry mee but tasted awesome nonetheless. I had the mee goreng which was legit, so flavourful. Very happy to have found this place where the food tastes authentic.
Absolutely delicious, the dumplings are super delicious staff are fabulous. Will definitely come back again and explore more of the menu.

I’m not really into Asien food but they recommend me a very good Italian restaurant. Nice Service, good local knowledge. Will definitely call again, can only recommend it!
Had dinner tonight and it was amazing. Staff were attentive, helpful and engaging. Started with dim sims and while small they were delicious. Then chicken dumplings, very good. Main course serves were huge and delicious. Beef cheeks so tender and my rib meat was like butter. Excellent!
Really yummy food. Have had takeaway from them 3 times over the past few months. We decided to try the Mapo Tofu tonight as a family member had it and recommended it. It didn’t taste right - quite bitter - and the family member said it was different to when he had it too. Other than the Mapo Tofu everything else was very yummy again tonight and will definitely go there again.
Everything tasted excellent (and I've lived in China, so I'm hard to impress).
We had xiao long bao, lamb ribs with rice, special fried rice, and corn soup.
The service was very attentive, and I overheard the people behind me mention a concern to the staff, who then offered a free drink to the patron, who said they weren't bothered by it. Very considerate.
It's a pretty typical Asian restaurant - not fancy or atmospheric but functional, clean and tidy. Downstairs is not large, but they have more room upstairs and could probably accommodate a large booking up there.
Love this restaurant. A really good choice of dishes. Food is soooo flavourful and fresh. Prices are excellent. I’ve come back a few times now and am booking again for next week.
I ordered lemon chicken on Uber eats from this place and was expecting so much more. The image showed a nice array of chicken that wasn’t over fried. My order can fried with batter that made it taste like fish
