Southern Ocean Tourist Park reviews
51 There's a very large number of sites at this caravan park but the amenities are NOT cleaned often enough.
There are even signs advising you to mop the shower after use but there was no mop available leading to muddy and dirty toilet blocks
The location is very good (not too windy) but we were very disappointed with the level of cleaning
Deff not maintained to as higher stardard as the last managers, toilets were fithly the 4 days we stayed, didnt want to have a mop in the showers cause they wouod have to keep changing the water for it so couldnt even clean the shower b4 taking one
Last owners deff took more pride in what they did,
Beautiful quiet place. Close to local shops and food. Lovely place. Have already booked to come back!
Lovely service from the lady. Reasonable price for a powered tent site. Huge area and thankfully weren’t put too close to other campers. Clean toilet/showers however the code into the ladies bathroom is hard - I noticed a few ladies struggling to get in. Also the cleaning times for the bathroom (8-8: 30) is inconvenient when you’re trying to pack up and leave in the morning. Would return the next time we visit Beachport!
We enjoyed our time here. Very sheltered and protected from wind. Great amenities. Great playground. At night, Wombats were roaming, a nice surprise! We will be back. Highly recommend. A beautiful town.
Beautiful park, close to beach but sheltered slightly from strong winds in this area, owner was pretty short with us regarding using an oz pig to cook with, website says they allow campfires out of fire season, but clearly this has ceased, would have been nice to know beforehand! A bit of politeness would have been nice as we’ve spent time here many times before and never had a problem. We were told we could use the community fire pit but we were camping with a 4 year old and our pitch was a long way from the pit. Sometimes when you’re tired and been doing the job for too long it shows to your customers. We won’t come back: (payed up till Sunday left on Thursday as we couldn’t stay warm of an evening without getting in the van. Free camp at the lake!
Great park excellent amenities, spotless. Loved the camp kitchen and deck area. All areas maintained to a high standard
Stayed for 2 night at a powered site, amenities are spotless, staff are super friendly, pricing is better than most place we have camped in. We are return travellers and will continue to come here!
This is possibly the WORST park we have stayed at. We travelled from Queensland to enjoy beautiful Beachport over the new year period only to be hit with a park that had overflowing dump zones with the awful smell of fecies invading the bathrooms, broken washing/ drying facilities that management know about but don’t bother fixing yet still advertise they have them, uneven sites covered by trees and egotistical management on some sort of power trip ranting and raving at any member of the park that they felt were non compliant.
I would not recommend going to this park if you are looking to relax and enjoy yourself.
If however you’d like to be overcharged for a block of grass with no decent facilities… go for your life
Had to call them 5 times over 2 hours, each time them telling me they'd call back only to be told we couldn't stay. Could of mentioned that on the first conversation.
Great caravan park in a great town. Park is sheltered from the wind and has great atmosphere- owners are friendly and super helpful. Management make sure there is a wide variety of events and food trucks for guests. Thanks again Dan and Heidi for running a great caravan park
Absolutely awful management. As he moves about, the manager says some rather disgusting and improper things to the guests. No one could help because the dryer was broken and not working. We were stuck with the horrible stench of mulch and pee since the sewage was nasty, overflowing, and the person they called in "gave up, " so we were at our site directly next to the restrooms. The restrooms are closed in the mornings, and if I wanted to use the restroom, I couldn't do so in my mobile home since I couldn't empty it into the sewage dump because it was also blocked. To top it all off, I witnessed multiple people being ejected for doing nothing wrong; these are owners driven by greed and lacking of compassion. All i can think is about there poor kids. Furthermore, i have been traumatised by my time here. Will not be coming back.
Stayed 2 nights recently, 2 sites, 4 adults and 1 dog. Beautiful location, friendly and accommodating staff. Facilities clean, spacious and very well kept grassed areas. Even saw our first wombat, wow! Beaches and small shops an absolute pleasure to visit. Would come back anytime.
Thank you for a great stay.
Fantastic place with very good management. We loved camping here. It was quiet in October and the weather was good. Clean bathrooms and well kept park. Beachport is an amazingly beautiful place to visit.
One of the best, well maintained and clean caravan parks that we've been to in South Australia. The park owners are very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to the next trip to Beachport!
Large grassy sites, protected from strong winds. Finally we get to put up our annex. Easy set up to power and grey water pit. Clean modern facilities. 2 x adults, 1 dog, PW $25/night. Stayed 4 nights and explored the district.
