Meals were great staff were also great, but I think someone should keep an eye on the play area a bit more.so the rules can be infoced.but I would definatly recommend this place to friends and family

We went on Wednesday flavours of world for the 3rd time expecting the quality of the first 2. Unfortunately the choice of food was poor. The schnitzel was and dumplings were dry and shrivelled and most of the food was only warm.
Definitely wouldn't go back on a Wednesday.
Pretty disappointed overall.

Food was good quality and cooked well. The playground area is great, although busy. I'd suggest best for ages 3-4+. Will surely go again in the future!

Some total legends helped me get away from a creepy guy last night. 2 lovely ladies behind the counter. I didn't catch their names. Love that they had my back. Also had my son's birthday here back in June and the food was lovely.

Terrible service. Rude. Slow for meals coming out. Won't be back. Food when it finally came out was mediocre at best. Can't guarantee the source but 2 of our group have food poisoning.

Staff and food were excellent as were the Big W Gawler staff celebrating their stores 20 years.

I went to a work celebration there the venue was great the food was great as were the staff and atmosphere. Great time was had by all

Since COVID restricions the Southern has bevome a bad dining deal. Prices have gone up for a meal without smorgasbord soup and desert. Charging for ice cream now. Not as good as other pub food in Gawler. Avoid.

Very happy with the service provided. I was very pleased with the service provided by Veronica. My challenging dietry requirements (GF, LF, Low FOFDMAP) were accommodated for. My meal was delicious and filling.

It is quite good the meals were good the play area is grest for the kids but a little disappointed with the slow service at the bar.

We eat here for all our special occasions food is fantastic! Celebrated my daughters 18th here low key but the staff went out of there way to offer cocktails even though at that time they were not serving cocktails. Great venue!

First time here and it was excellent. Service was wonderful, friendly, attentive and professional. The food was 10 out of 10. We had the lunch menu. I had a chicken parmie, chips and salad. Was hot, fresh and large portion. Salad was well dressed and everything was seasoned. Most definitely will be back and bring my family and friends too. Very happy diner.

Was a bit disappointed with the new lunch menu not a lot to choose fromfor me personally as the chicken pie I normally order at lunch time had been removed from the menu however the salt and pepper squid was lovely
Has a play area for the kids too

We attended the hotel for lunch with 10 elderly diners. The staff (Nicole and Abbee) handled our orders for meals and drinks superbly. Everyone commented on the God quality of the meals. We'll be back.

Meals expensive and not well cooked or presented. $32 for 2 pieces of whiting which were dry and shriveled. Could've cooked it better myself!

Really disappointed with my meal tonight. Spaghetti with mussels. 10 mussels in the shell that I had to open and fish out the meat in a tomato sauce that resembled soup rather than pasta sauce and considering there was only 10 mussels, there was stuff all spaghetti on the plate. $26 for a $5 meal.

Friendly staff and clean, well-kept facilities. Classic pub food, and always have a nice roast of the day.
Can be a little slow on food sometimes but it's worth the wait if you're after simple comfort food!

Not a big fan of the food here in the last few times I've been here I've been served raw chips burnt salmon soggy squid and fish that was oil logged.
The chicken burger was tasty same with the beef brisket.
I also feel the menu needs some salad options

Had a great meal, very filling and very nice. Grandkids enjoyed it as there was a play area. Wasn't many ppl dining so the meal was quick. Highly recommend it if you live near Gawler

It's a warm and welcoming place, but twice now after dining on two separate occasions in the past couple of years, the food has come out extremely late and one member of our table had their order forgotten completely. And it wasn't even that busy.

Food was still delicious, however.
