Southern Dragon Chinese Takeaway

Eaten here before and had no complaints.
Tonight's meal was terrible
Rice was yellow and had no flavour, honey chicken was soggy and barely coated in honey sauce
The pork n plum was also a soggy non flavoursome mess.
Complimentary prawn chips were stale, never again I was dissapointed.
Explains why the meals are cheap, you get what you pay for.

Tried last night and the food seemed like it was their take on Chinese food. Was hoping for more the "traditional " tasting Chinese. I didn't expect the plum sauce to be made from yellow plums (who knew they existed).
The food was not really for our taste.
Service was good.

The food was delivered quickly well cooked, hot and very good. Pleasant service.l recommend this Chinese takeaway.and l will use them again. Prices are reasonable. Food quality excellent.

Love the food. Lemongrass chicken, honey chicken, hokkien noodles and special fried rice were all amazing and was great value as well.

Food was excellent and well priced, customer service was just OK and shop was dated only reason it diddnt get a 5 star, definitely would recommend

food was very nice. The chow Main with crispy noodle was good however only received 1 tablespoon of crispy noodle definitely was not enough to cater for the serving received.

Love this Chinese takeaway. You can't really dine in as there is only 1 table and 2 chairs. But the best food ever. They are very busy so best to phone an pick up yourself.

Order a family pack last night 29/8/2020, told it would be a hour and never turned up, sadly i run out of phone creidit so could not chase it up, was looking forward to chinese, so lucky the kids went and got hungry jacks, other wise nice service, 18/10/2020 phone rings out this happened a few time.sadly guess I will have to find a place that answer their phone and who will deliver, loved this place as the food good but lack in other areas, think I need to find another place ;- (28/04/22 rang a few time and just rang out sad as i was looking forward to not cooking tonight rang 5 times no answer

This is our regular Chinese take away shop.
Since change of owners I assume, as was closed for a while, and when re-opened all the prices have gone up.
I used to buy a family pack which was around the $60-ish mark but now it has gone up to thr $70-ish mark.
If you are going to charge these prices, maybe you should think of installing an eftpos machine.

Tried to order family pack menu clearly stated item can be switched if equal or lesser value, when changed $7 was added to the meal.
When asked about it they said that's just what the computer does because you made a change.

I've tried a lot of the Chinese places around Salisbury/Elizabeth and this is by far the best.
Very reasonably priced, decent portions.
Mongolian beef want too spicy, sweet and sour pork was delicious; really good amount of batter, not over battered and perfectly crispy.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the chicken cashew had so few pieces of chicken, BUT plenty of vegetables.
Would buy again.

Absolutely delicious food with excellent services. Staff are great and quick service on ordered meals. High recommend you give it a try.

Ordered a few time this week from this shop as a results very satisfied. Best takeaway in Elizabeth East. Honey chicken and chicken black bean are highly recommended. Given 5 star for best foods, reasonable price, and excellent customer services.

I have waited 12 months to write this review, I have been ordering and have had both pick up and delivery.always punctual and friendly when being served both on the phone and in person.
The quality of the food is first class always arriving hot and continuity of the ingredients and flavors has never let me down.
I have tried all of the local Chinese take a way's in the area and have never enjoyed and looked forward to my Chinese food as much as the Southern Dragon Chinese Take away.
I never write a review based on one or two experience's but can say if your reading this and thinking about ordering. DO IT. If you are disappointed i would be very very surprised.
Thank you guys for great service and excellent food at excellent prices over the last 12 months and look forward to ordering in the future.

Best chinese in the northern suburbs. Prices are sensational and the staff are so friendly. I love it

So me and the misses rock up there and to our disappointment me can't get honey chicken in a small container, alright whatever that's fine, I mean if it can fit in the container why not just do it. Anyways to the food. The fried rice was very dry, to the point where it felt like crumbs in my mouth, also only had 2 prawns in a large. Honey chicken was the only positive but even that was so sticky it was stuck together and would rip if you attempted to pull it apart separating the pastry (?) from the chicken.
