To Barney and staff.
Thankyou so much for what you did for Geoffrey's family at this most heartbreaking time.
You also went beyond helping and supporting them when major hurdles were thrown at them.
Thankyou for handling the inappropriate phone calls from family members.
Being in another state your support kindness compassion and understanding shone through.
I look forward to meeting you Barney when I next visit Mt. Gambier.

When the unfortunate happens everything seems to spin out of control.what do we do? How do we organise this and that? How do we get it right? We found that one phone call to South East Funeral Services set in motion everything that needed to be done for our mum.from transporting her interstate from her hospital bed, to their care in S. A.to the close of the graveside service.
We didnt have to worry that we would let mum down and not do things properly.we met with Barney, who, along with our input, liased with the minister of the church. They organised the date and time of service, the "order of service" brochures with pictures and poems. A CD of mums favourite song was played and they showed pictures of our choosing on a screen. We didnt need any computer knowledge.we gave them actual photos.they scanned them, and either projected or printed them. They helped us choose the coffin, the flowers, the hearse, and the book to sign so we could keep track of who attended, and they were just so polite and respectful.
Nothing was too much trouble, we tucked personal items in with mum to keep her company, and put slippers on her feet to keep them warm.it may sound odd but South East didnt bat an eyelid.they encouraged us to grieve and send mum on her way in whatever way made us comfortable.
I guess Im trying to say that South East funerals took the weight off our shoulders by allowing us to concentrate on say, what slippers mum should wear, while they took the reins and guided us through the important structure of a funeral.they made sure we got it right and we will thank them forever.
