Came only to the bar for drinks. Unfortunately on arrival the chef was loudly abusing his kitchen staff. Drinks from previous table were not cleared but they tried to clear our unfinished drinks! Bartender couldn't remember drinks order and didn't know how to make the cocktail. Unfortunately, due to the design of the venue, you don't feel like you're on a roof top and there was no view.
Very disappointing experience, not premium. Won't be back.

Ate with some friends Saturday night. Great service from Tiffany, food was good. We got the feed me menu and enjoyed almost every course. The highlight was the pork belly but very small portion. The drunken chicken main course was BLAND. Very BLAND! We really enjoyed the experience. Courses were served quickly and the attention we received was second to none. I think this place will be a fantastic place to visit once it settles into a pattern. Thanks Tiffany. You were fantastic.

Alyssa was amazing upon entry. Great customer service and amazing energy.
Tyla was also incredible with our table service. Very friendly and accomodating. She made the whole night a great experience and was swift with our drinks and food. Couldn’t commend her more.

After reading some of the reviews here i was shocked to think people are talking about the same place i dined at. We were after the lunch rush on thursday and went for the Chefs menu, Which in itself was great value, presented well, Paired with the Sommelier’s suggestions we were guided through some history and information i was unaware of! Definitely will return have already made another booking!

Only thing i would say is can’t wait to experience it full - high energy with some music, has huge potential and great to see another venue open its doors in Adelaide

Last night's visit to Sora was an immense letdown. Lured by the promise of an exclusive dining experience, we were instead subjected to an obligatory $80 per head fixed menu due to the size of our group. This was just the beginning of a series of underwhelming experiences.

The meal commenced with an array of small dishes that arrived promptly but were utterly lacking in flavour and disappointingly tiny in portion. The highlight, or rather the low point, of the evening was the "Westside Mushies" - a bizarre concoction of mushrooms topped with a raw egg. We waited, with diminishing patience, for other dishes to complement this odd offering, but they never materialised.

As our frustration grew over the course of three long hours, the staff seemed more interested in pushing drinks rather than addressing our growing concern about the absent courses. Their indifference to our dissatisfaction was stark and only added to the already palpable disappointment.

In conclusion, our experience at Sora was far from the high-end dining experience it purports to offer. With subpar food, lackluster service, and an unjustifiably high price tag, it's a place I'd recommend avoiding. Sora is not just overpriced and pretentious; it's a stark reminder that not all that glitters is gold.

If I could leave a negative review, I would. Not only did the food take hours to come out, it also didn’t taste particularly pleasant either, and that’s putting it nicely. I wanted to enjoy this place, but I simply could not. The combination of paying ~$40 for a single plate, along with the ridiculous wait times (~2 hours), left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Literally. It would be an understatement to say this was single-handedly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.

We went to SORA for their NYD celebration and it was simply incredible. I just don’t understand the negative reviews because we did not attend the same event. $50 for a ticket and it was marketed as roaming canapés/yum Cha starting at 2pm (NOT a lunch). We genuinely had to turn down so many offerings of the amazing food because we were so full. I’m pregnant and the staff were amazing at altering any of their cocktails to a non-alcoholic option for me, and although I was sad to miss out on the sashimi, my husband assured me it was incredible. We counted 15 plates of food that we ate, with such an amazing variation on dishes and my partner also enjoyed a complimentary glass of their Prosecco which was roaming. The staff were incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, the food was BEAUTIFUL and I genuinely do not understand how people are so harsh. To see people complaining so much in these reviews blows my mind, because we well & truly got our moneys worth and more (and no, we don’t know the owners or any staff as some people have suggested). We went for a relaxed afternoon to bring in the new year, stayed for 4 hours and loved every minute of it. Do not let the bad reviews fool you! We will definitely be going back

I felt compelled to write a review after reading a 5 star review which said "don't believe the negative reviews". I'm here to say, "do believe those reviews"!

Similar to other reviewers, our experience involved below average food after extended waits during a chaotic and disorganised service. With that said, we got plenty of food once most of the guests had given up and left after about an hour and a half.

On the positive side of things, the owners have clearly invested a lot of money into the venue which has resulted in a unique addition to Adelaide's bar scene.

Overall, the event did not live up to expectations. The vague marketing and "yum-cha" branding was a massive disservice to the event.

The first impression was like a weak handshake from a partime influencer with lots of daddy's money. Good for photos, but I left feeling like there wasn't much below the surface.

I am not usually one to leave a negative review however, unfortunately with this poorly organised NYD event it has led me to SORA’s page.

Reading the positive reviews of individuals saying they were served lots of food and don’t understand why people are complaining - all I can say is how very lucky of you and you must’ve got a good seat!

My group unfortunately were not served much food for the first 1.5-2hrs of the event (marketed as yum cha dishes for 4 hrs or until sold out) I will say for such a big event with more than 200 people attending, 7 or less waiting staff is vastly inadequate.

Admittedly, the dishes that were served were not half bad. However, a bit disappointed with the marketing of this event, as it was quite deceiving. There was an article written as well as an Instagram post describing that yum cha dishes were going to be served. I don’t quite remember polenta fries being an Asian dish or grilling some lamb and drizzling chilli oil over it and calling it yum cha.

However, I will say after a lot of people left (presumably because food was brought out so slowly) we got quite attentive service and was constantly asked if we wanted more food

Amazing place for any situation. Whether you want to go there for lunch, dinner or just for a drink this is by far the best restaurant/bar in Adelaide!
