The lady that helped us check in was absolutely lovely, the atmosphere feels like home and the rooms are super cozy and nice and quiet at night. We’ll definitely be coming back again

A one night stay between jobs was just what we needed after a lot of driving. A courtyard room that was very comfortable with all that one would need to be self-sufficient. Easy walk to pubs, shops and the beach. This place, at least for our needs is a little gem and will definitely stay again if this work continues.

Sonbern Lodge became like a second home during my father’s hospitalisation in town and later passing and funeral. We stayed on 4 occasions in a few rooms. The owner David was fantastic. All the rooms inside and in the courtyard were impeccably clean and very comfortable. The on-site laundry facilities were great and the location was excellent. Thank you, David for your kindness and hospitality.

The manager locked the only door to get off the balcony and the only egress to the fire exit at 10.30pm.when we unlocked the door he proceeded to follow the brothers wife out and lock both doors with a key.very dangerous should there be a fire only way we got off the balcony was to wake up the my wife to let us through the room. The manger also let himself in the the brothers room while we were all out to check how many children were staying a little creepy considering he never asked the question of the brother first or called him.very strange man!

Basic accommodation for a couple of nights. Room was clean. We had a kitchenette allowing us to have our own breakfast. We would definitely go back.

Beware they charge a bond which isn't on the online booking agoda yet they will hold it for 45days consumer affairs have been notified the room has got cracks in the wall the shower head was leaking curtain was rotton the paint was falling off in need of repair wasn't fit for purpose merchantable quality trade standard

So relaxing very clean and friendly very happy. I recommend this place to all its wonderful value and a great getaway

What a wonderful place to stay! It has an old world charm with updated flare.my room was perfect - great size, very comfortable, loved the carpet.
Everything was provided. The owners are very friendly, helpful & communicative. Great value for $$'s. Will definetly stay again.

Lovely olde worldie lodge. Clean, good size rooms. Friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Close to cafes and shops.

Excellent establishment. Everything i required catered for. Amenities are clean and tidy. The owners live on site, which is a bonus as they can attend to any issues if they arise. I liked the 4 towels provided, even though I was a single. Nice touches with toiletries provided, microwave, bar fridge, etc. I used one of the BBQ provided during my 5 day stay there. Recommend.

We stayed in lovely two bedroom bungalow. Great location. The accomodation included everything we needed. Kids Loved it too, close to the beach, we’ve been riding bout scooters, Wateroo swimming pool enclosurep, playground across the road, shopping mall.

Just stayed in one of the rooms out in the courtyard. It was nice and clean, and quiet even for a Friday and Saturday night. Hot water was a bit slow to come through but apart from that, all good and we'll be back. 3.9 Stars

Well appointed and comfortable, if you can get around the fact it does look quite tired.
They keep it well maintained and clean and the staff are lovely and very friendly.
Being in such a central location, everything is within walking distance.

A great little find after arriving in town with no reservation. Clean, comfy and very cute. Good price too.

Great place, loved the room and all their decor around the place. Staff were lovely and accomodating. We rang up 2 hours before we were coming in and they where happy to fit us in. The room has everything you will need and the building was historically quaint! Would definitely come again!
