delivery. Quality was awful. Called store and basically they couldn't care. They did replace but sales guy was dismissive and not interested. A bad customer experience.

Called up to order some materials only to find out that the price displayed online is only for online orders and was more expensive when ordered over the phone. The sales worker couldn't tell me why this was.

From the moment Michael at Modbury took our deposit, the entire process was a disappointment, from price gouging to losing our specific requests, delays and lack of communication. Softwoods was highly recommended to us. I won't make the mistake of recommending them to anyone.

From my first contact with Michael at Softwoods Modbury I knew I had made the right choice. I wanted a lattice trellis to provide privacy from my neighbours and after looking at other options had the good fortune to come into the Softwoods office in Modbury. Michael assisted me and listened to my needs and by the time I arrived home I had received a plan and quote which was within my budget and in fact provided a much better quality item than I had previously thought affordable. Michael also arranged for a fantastic team, lead by Kurt to build my screen. On the appointed day builder Kurt and his assistant Luke arrived early, the materials were delivered without any problems and within 5 hours I had not only the required privacy but an amazingly beautiful feature in my garden. I could not be happier with the service provided from inception through to completion. Staff are friendly, know their stuff and helpful.
Store is pretty busy on a Saturday, so keep that in mind.

Order ahead as there are only a couple of sales staff. Plenty of staff to load your timber though. You can be all loaded in minutes. Timber from here is good value.

Very accommodating and efficient staff, the materials are all in stock, can be viewed and are reasonably priced. Delivery of our picket fence and small pergola was completed within days of the order being placed.

We brought a pergola kit and the service we received was absolutely amazing.we have come back to get a few extras as we are building a screen to place on the pergola. The service and friendly advice is just amazing.will be recommending Softwoods to all our family and friends. Thank you so much to the team at Modbury.

They can supply me with all the timber and hardware i need to do decks, pergola and various other building projects. Not having been to Softwoods before I drove into the "drive thru retail sales" area and watched two staff members look at me then casually walk inside. One sat at a computer and the other on his phone. After 5 minutes of waiting like this I backed my ute out and drove to Bunnings.
