Snowtown Hotel reviews
34Too far iam sure there meals are tasty should be a SNOWTOWN hotel in portadelaide except name it SNOWDENZ hotel
Sensational food, all house made Asian style. We sat and chatted to the owner for ages. Best meal we’ve had in a very long time!
Stopped in for dinner on a road trip to Adelaide and was very impressed with the food! Has all the classic pub food but we tried the Asian menu and was amazed! Hands down the best honey chicken I’ve ever had, not over the top sweet but full of flavour.
I beautiful meal that leaves you full but not feeling sick. I couldn’t recommend more!
My wife and I stopped here today for a sticky beak lol and had lunch after a long drive, it was a well cooked homestyle meal with all the properly cooked vegetables, not just chips and salad although you can request that if you like, the place is well maintained and spotlessly clean.thank you for a great experience
I'm very picky when it comes to eating out. Especially in country pubs. But the food here would be worth travelling for! Everything was amazing
Called in for a beer.
All the locals were friendly and outgoing, all together a pleasant place to be.
Had a day trip out exploring and found ourselves near Snowtown so popped into the hotel for lunch. Nice meals but the service was top notch. Really lovely guy looking after the place which looked like it'd just had some touch ups inside. Well worth making the stop.
Who ever reads gotta stop in best pub going and best meals no matter what you get you will enjoy
It may be a long way to travel, but if you are in the area or just want to go for a drive, you must visit the Snowtown Hotel. The food is fabulous, the service is great and the people and atmosphere are extrodinary. We had Christmas lunch there and the food was exceptional and plentiful with 5 courses, we certainly didn't need dinner that night. Highly recommend a stop in and perhaps a night in one of the rooms. We are back again next year for our now traditional Christmas lumch. I should have taken more pictures, these few do not do it justice.
Popped into the Snowtown pub for a after-work beer had a conversation with the publican Mark.
He took me on a tour of the hotel showcasing his newly renovated ensuite rooms fitted with queen-sized beds HUGE flat-screen tv, a room fridge, and each room had split system aircon. Also showed me the kitchenette and laundry which is free for the guests to use.
If you're looking for a great place to stay you'll be glad you did.
Also, the beers were ice cold
Manager went above and beyond after my husband and I were caught out in a storm on our trip and I had become sick a few months ago.
It was a late night and last minute reservation however he still made sure our motorbikes were safe from the wind and even offered a hot meal along with the usual room and facilities which were clean and well presented.
A huge thankyou to him for his care during our stay.
The friendly bar maid, owner, and patrons were delightful.
They all also convinced me to try their Asian “pork thingy” meal sand thank goodness they did, as it was 100/10!
I Highly recommend this place!
Lady staff member with short hair is very rude, never met someone so rude in my life, never did or said anything wrong and she was so rude for no reason, she definitely shouldn’t work in hospitality, everyone else was very nice n well mannered
Stopped off here for a delicious chicken parmi for dinner. Lovely staff, and service with a smile. Highly recommend stopping in for a meal.
Nice lunch, decent size meals, reasonably priced and friendly staff.
Try and catch up with the owner and learn the history of the pub.
The one part I do remember is that the men's toilets were the original morgue!
Snowtown always has a hot spot in my heart. I visited the hotel because i needed a coffee would you believe. Yes well i had just been to Barunga Gap, i used to live there, and walked up some of the hill that i used to walk up EVERY morning, so i was thirsty. Really beautiful and quiet place. The Hotelier was very friendly, hospitable, and a plus was best coffee ever. Nice cosy place. Blessings!
Was staying here for just under a month. The staff were great, friendly and go beyond their duties. The room i was in (onsuite) was very clean. Food was good as well. The locals were good to talk to and also helpful.
Awesome meals, reasonable prices, friendly staff man (strawbs) i believe his nickname is and the friendly bar chic named Sarah. The restaurant area is great for dinner parties, functions, and corporate meetings. All air-conditioned and huge fans. Dining area has a coin operated jukebox with all varieties of music. Outside the beer garden are some tables and seating, a wood fire and pool table. Clean and tidy everywhere and well looked after restrooms. Visitors are welcomed warmly. A little chinwag to tourists; are always helpful and a joy to listen to. No! There are no ghosts here.not that I've seen anyway. A BEAUTIFUL pub. A must to see and experience yourself.
$20 for calamari and chips, worth the money A+ Was fresh and full of flavour. Sarah behind the bar was very welcoming. I've only ever had dinner at the pub, but today's lunch was amazing. Thanks snowtown Hotel
I came to Snowtown with tears, anxiety and fear; No rentals in Adelaide, but I have a house here.
The house is a beauty but in need of much repair; So I stayed @ the hotel, & I'm still there. I've stayed in hotels a lot of late;
This is one of the best, it's truly great.
Sometimes it's strangers that open their door; A warm friendly welcome, who could ask for more. Sometimes it's the people you least expect;
That treat you with kindness, love, & respect. There's Peter, the manager, Strawbs his nickname; Such a good man, to Snowtown he came. A manager so friendly, caring, & good; He treated me better than my family; like I am his blood. I don't know many men who whistle tunes @ work; Strawbs is amazing, a Snowtown Pub perk. Leanne never stops, her cleaning superb; The rooms are so clean, yet they do not disturb. Sandy's the chef, what a great cook; From schnitzels & seafood; tender steak, & chook.
Spaghetti, pizza, bangers, mash, & veg; Crisp hot chips, fresh salad, Oh! & my room has a door wedge. Sarah, the bar girl, is so lovely, & nice; So full of sugar, & yet a little spice.
They're all here for a chat, with a friendly smile; I've stayed so far, for quite a while. The ladies that work here are truly super; Always there for a chat, each one is a trooper.
There's brekky, takeaway grog, & food; Fluffy big towels, comfy beds, & a jukebox to sing to, if you're in the mood. A beer garden, darts, & eightball, if that's your thing; Yourself is all you need to bring. There's plenty of clean toilets to go to the loo; The locals, & guests of Snowtown Pub, are a friendly bunch too. Functions & group bookings are available too; Book in advance, they'll look after you. The showers are awesome, the hot water stays hot; The room's fridges & air cons, all chilly, the lot. Little did I know, this town was such a treat;
Nor the lovely nice people I would meet. So even if you stop just to look @ the bank; Cross the road, & enjoy a delicious lamb shank. Or if you're just passing, stop in for a beer; It's looking quite likely, I may still be here. Happiness is not for sale; But @ the Snowtown Pub in comparison, many other pubs fail. There's plenty of parking, for semis, caravans, & cars; Snowtown Hotel; I give you 5 stars. My advice to the owner; "don't fix what's not broken"; I hope you've enjoyed these true words I have spoken.
