Smiling Samoyed Brewery reviews
75 Great spot to stop when in Myponga, Excellent place to start and finish you walk around the reservoir.
Cool brewery with friendly staff.
Good range of beers with many types to choose from. I had an English Malt type.
Beers range is various alcoholic strengths- so be careful if you’re driving!
Lots of seating spots too- balcony out the back overlooking the reservoir is my favourite, but the also have a beer garden/ courtyard, inside seating and spots out the front too.
They have food options.
Heaps of parking.
Pizzas were ok needed to be cooked longer and more topping expensive for the food and small servings
Amount yum wedges not enough sauce to go with good service toilets needed a good cleaning over all not bad experience nice to hear acoustic live music
Some advice to the owners. Get out of the "secret picnic experience" by Amazingco. You didn't do your business any favours when we visited. This was our second stop to collect goods for the "$235 picnic" and thought this should be good, an artisan brewery. Well we got offered 1 takeaway salad between 4 people and 4 soft drinks. How does that promote anything to do with your business. I lay blame at Amazingco for such a terrible experience all round but I can only see you doing your business more harm than good being associated with such a program.
What a great way to spend a sunday afternoon - it felt we had our own private band and fire place. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely ambience, wine and ales. Bonus appearance by the mascot!

Had lunch yesterday and had an excellent time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meal was excellent. We sat in the Nook with a view of the reservoir. Beautiful view.
Definitely will come back
Great service; good food! It would have been fantastic if the venue was heated better.
Will definitely be back with a bit warmer weather.
We had a lovely family gathering at the Brewery Saturday:
nice variety of foods to nibble and share, accommodating special food needs, thank you Chef; good beers and nice, friendly, abliging customer service.
What an amazing day! Sunday lunch booked for a birthday celebration. We had the group share menu. Everything was delicious and the staff were wonderful. They had live music which was great. We will definitely be back, thankyou all.
Such a lovely venue with wonderful, highly accommodating and kind staff! Nothing was too much hassle, and it was so appreciated to be treated with understanding and patience. Thank you!
$28 for 12 Arancini balls that tasted like the oil they were cooked in, 3 other dishes much the same, sadly
Up the anty on the menu & steer away from deep fried
Beautiful establishment. Yummy beers and lovely service. Definitely a great time to be had here.
We were excited to visit the Smiling Samoyed Brewery, but seem to have got everyone on a bad day. Most staff were not very friendly and looked like they'd rather be elsewhere. The gorgeous samoyed came to visit my pup, only to take its long lasting dog treat and wander away with it. Mentioned this to staff who again didn't seem to care. Our dog does get a bit anxious so this was to distract her. The gluten free pizza was small and very expensive for it's size. Won't go out of our way to return.
Excellent service and pizzas! Great atmosphere as well. We brought our friends along with their dog and we all had a blast. Their dog loved the pup cup/bowl with bacon bits.
Great friendly atmosphere. Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and fresh.
Had gr8 food.staff especially Hannah were fabulous considering how incredibly busy they were. Well done.
Came here as a party of 8, for lunch with my family to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. We decided that the ‘Group Feasting Menu’ was likely the best way to go, to enjoy a variety of different food. When ordering the ‘group feast’, we were told we should have called in advance, since it takes longer to prepare. This was surprising considering we had booked weeks in advance and specifically mentioned that we were wanting to look at a ‘share menu’ style. We were told that such a menu does exist, however we were not told (at time of booking) that we needed to notify the restaurant in advance that we wanted to order the ‘group feast’. This was also surprising, considering all of the food in the ‘group feast’ is included on the standard menu.
As the food started to come out, we were quite shocked to see such a small amount of food for $45 per person. For example, we received one brewery board (which on the menu is to be shared between 2-4 people), one small plate of wedges (approximately 10-15 wedges), one bowl of mushrooms and a few pizzas, plus a few small portions of dessert. The total amount of food we received seemed small, however the food was enjoyable.
It wasn’t until we got home later that evening that we checked the online menu and realised we had received only approximately $270 worth of food, instead of the $360 (8 x $45) that we had spent. Incredibly disappointing to realise that we paid nearly $100 more, to simply get the food in a ‘feast format’, however the size of the food (e.g the platter, the wedges, the pizzas) was no different to the sizes of the plates given to much smaller tables/parties of patrons around us. Would not recommend the ‘group feast’ to any future patrons. We will not be coming back.
Second visit but was quite disappointed with the declining quality of food.
Was so impressed on our first visit earlier this year.
Incredible pre-event service. Above and beyond to make our day exactly what we wanted.
Food in generous proportions.
Fun atmosphere with friendly, personable staff.
Will be going back.
Thanks.
Great spot to end a walk around the reservoir. Beers were excellent, especially the IPA range. Pizzas were expensive for what you get.
Delicious pizzas and great range of beers! Lovely views and friendly staff. Sitting by the fire or on a great big sofa recommended!
