Skillogalee Winery, Restaurant & Accommodation

Outstanding lunch experience on the verandah at Skillogalee - I cannot fault the food, wine or service. Each dish was creative, delicious and perfectly executed, and the service was friendly and highly competent. The view and atmosphere was one of the best I’ve ever experienced, and I hope to return the next time I’m in South Australia. Will be recommending to all my friends. Thank you!

Our waitress was fantastic and got the blend right between attentive service and allowing us to enjoy the meal and our afternoon. We had an elderly person with mobility issues in our party and the staff were very accommodating. I would highly recommend the tasting menu which is delicious and comes out at the right pace. At no point did we feel rushed. Alongside the tasting menu I would also suggest that you get a taxi and enjoy the wine pairings (I had to drive so was very disappointed as the range of wines went down very well with my partner and her family). All in all I would thoroughly recommend!

Tasting menu - chef selection degustation lived up to expectations. A delightful gastronomy experience hidden amidst the Clare Valley. Appreciated by locals and a place to revisit for visitors to the region!

This is our second time visiting South Australia from QLD and this place is one of our absolute favourites. We did a wine tasting on our bike tour on Friday and decided we HAD to come back for lunch on our way back from the Eyre Peninsula on the Sunday. It was not only one of our best lunches in Clare but anywhere, ever. The service was great and view from our outside table was majestic.

Absolutely beautiful scenery! Amazing lunch under the Olive tree Food was average, but I would still give 5 star because of the atmosphere. Service was good.

Delicious Breakfast We had ever with a great Coffee… we tried Middle Eastern Orange cake and Earl Grey Fruit Cake that was Amazing… Thanks Chef And All staff.

The best place in Clare valley, good food and environment, friendly staff and people, you can’t beat this, would highly recommend.

We've been enjoying wonderful lunches at Skillogalee for over 10 years. We were disappointed to hear that it had been sold and reports that it wasn't quite as good as it used to be. We had lunch there early January and sadly, these reports were accurate. The wonderful staff (like Mo) with warm, friendly personalities who made you feel special have gone. The new young staff were just going through the motions of their job and lacked that good old fashioned enthusiasm. No smiles. No interest. Just a job! Disappointingly also, the famous Ploughman's Platter has been removed from the menu with the new owner who lives in Switzerland. The menu isn't as interesting therefore if you don't want to eat meat and don't eat seafood. It's very generic like every other new restaurant. I ordered the chicken and it was a bit dry. The complimentary rolls and delicious butter has been removed. My partner's meal was good enough. Sadly, we probably won't go back. We will try the new Pike's restaurant.

We had lunch here at this restaurant and it was beautiful.
I had the Risotto on special and my wife had a duck confit. Both were amazing.
The place itself is very nice to sit outside or in the balcony.

Didn't eat we tasted some very good wines with excellent service and our furbaby was accepted without question. Brilliant!

Gorgeous garden patio overlooking the winery vineyard. Wander through the gardens with a glass of wine. Loved the premium range Shiraz! Partner enjoyed the Riesling

Such a beautiful quaint place, staff were incredibly welcoming. We had a tasting and charcuterie board - the pate was delicious! Best Riesling in Clare Valley

Absolutely wonderful. We had the 3 stage Long Lunch which is the chefs choice and it was all delicious. The wine, we had sparkling Shiraz and reisling, was superb. The whole place has such a calm and relaxed vibe and the waitress was so lovely. We drove almost 2hrs to have lunch here today and it was totally worth it!
Also, the fig sorbet was the best ice cream I’ve ever had!

Amazing quaint spot in Clare. The wines was great, the food delicious and the rustic old farm house and patio charming. Go get lost at Skillogalee!

I had visited the cellar door once before & loved every single wine.
We couldn’t resist lunch whilst we were there today & we couldn’t have been happier!
The flavours were impeccable & the presentation was flawless.
