43 Booked in around 30 people for lunch. The service and the staff were wonderful went out of there way, could not of been more helpful, meals all came out together and the food was amazing. Thanks guys we will be back again for sure.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Had beautiful oysters, tried kilpatrick, Japanese with Mirin and natural.all superb. Went back 2 days in a row. Soups on both days were home-made, roast was juicy and fresh, fish and calamari special, exceptional. Beer was cold, staff friendly, we'll definitely be back.
Rooms were smelly lots of dodgy electrical work.
Shared bathroom but marked only for men. It was the only available place to stay in town, in future would drive back to another town.
Could certainly do with an upgrade, electrics were a worry, shared facilities were poor, looked likecthe ceiling was going to collapse.
Great service with a smile. I ordered a beef Schnitzel and it was delicious. I will certainly be back.
Friendly staff and meals are always great. Awesome little pub and quiet often go here for schnitzel night on Wednesday nights.
Had a dinner there and it was great. Fresh seafood & I mean fresh. So good we back the night.
Great modern and clean accommodation, friendly staff and very tasty meals with love music, we will be back!
Meals were huge. And really tasty. I had the most tender squid ever and thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. Place is old, and tables were clean. Each table were having conversations about the blowflies on the windows in the lounge area. Hopefully its a once off. One group ordered oysters and they looked superb. Yes, I'd eat there again. Maybe not with the blowers though. They were really fiesty. Good night with good company made up for that.
This is a good oldworld hotel. The meals are excellent and the drinks prices are very reasonable. The service was prompt despite being quite busy on grand final day and the staff very friendly. Make sure you visit if near Cowell.
Very good wine and the fish of the day Salmon is delicious.
Don't miss oysters when you visit next time they are super fresh.
We had dinner at 6pm and the guy who have delivered oysters to the restaurant, said that the oysters in our menu were taken out from water around 5pm the same day. Amazing.
Always like having a meal here. Not sure about accommodation but rest of pub is very well looked after and very friendly staff
Visited the place for a drinks. Was nice to sit outdoor in a good weather. Like the post R U Ok post in the toilet
$19 for one piece of grilled Whiting, what a joke! Very busy but only because the competition down the road has a limited menu. Give it a miss.
Bottle shop typical of a small town pub. Limited white wine choice but specials aren't too bad at around $11-14 for a Chardonnay
Had the 'Taste of the Eyre Peninsula' seafood platter. It was massive and so good. I would recommend asking for extra napkins!
Guys what's happened? Service ordinary and the meal was awful. Something has changed. Never had this ever! Been coming here for years.
Good range of shots and range of alcoholic beverages.
They also have a games room for kiddies and a barista machine for non alcoholic drinkers
Yes a very good Hotel centre of main street, again good selection of beers and wine, has small gaming area, well priced food, friendly staff, good parking!
