Siam 49 Thai Restaurant

Been enjoying their very cheap lunch time menu. Food is fantastic and easy to park. Love the waitress in her Thai dress. Beautiful

Average dishes. Ordered king prawns which weren’t king prawn size and were over cooked. Rice was a bit mushy. Priced right for what you get. Service was fine.

We've been coming here for the past four years, at least once every two months. It was a tranquil dining experience with relaxing music, outstanding service staff (miss you Patty!) and delicious Thai food. However, our recent visit wasn't great as the venue seemed more like a "take-away" than a restaurant.

We waited over 15mins for our order to be taken and at least another 30mins to receive the food even though the restaurant only had four other diners. The serving was also smaller than usual.

Take-away was being prioritised over diners, so much so we observed two of the other diners having to get up to chase for their entree and drinks.

The constant opening of the front door for Uber/Menulog etc.drivers also destroyed the once relaxing atmosphere that we loved so much about Siam49. Staff also looked stressed running between counter and kitchen.

Giving this feedback as this was our favourite Thai restaurant and want you to be aware so you can make improvements; happy for your takeaway side of the business but don't neglect diners who make the effort to come in. Hopefully our next visit will be better otherwise sadly it may be our last.

Siam 49 is consistent. We’ve ordered chicken cashew, soft crab, spring rolls and sweet and sour fish and they were excellent. They made sure the take away is wrapped well and food came in hot.

Updating because we’ve also experienced the dine in service and it’s still 5 stars. This one will always be one of our go to food place. Discovered that their Massaman beef is delish too!

Fantastic food! Absolutely loved the Salt and Pepper Soft Shell Crab and Pad Thai. They also do great lunch specials.

Food was FANTASIC! As a party of 8 we all enjoyed the food immensely during our dine in experience. The only down sides was that it was on the cold side in the dinning room (obviously its winter though) and the only other thing I noticed was lack of table service check ins to ask if ready to order (we had some hungry kids!) and not taking dirty dishes away quickly. But honestly the food was so good I would definitely eat there again:)

Been here before normally ok but last night the food wasn't good, the quality of the beef was poor and starter certainly tasted like it was made from scraps. It was so cold inside to the point of being unbearable. The waitress was pleasant and the food came quickly. Probably won't go back.

Can’t get enough of their spicy fried rice. I am obsessed ️ vegetable curry puffs are also very good!

Wouldn't recommend dining in. Place appears to be on downward spiral in terms of service and cooking with priority given to Uber Eats.

This place is a joke. So inauthentic, tastes worse and more bland than packet food is arguably not thai food at all. Red curry tasted like tomato sauce in coconut cream. The price is ridiculous for the absurdly low and tacky quality. It's hard to believe a thai person would possibly make this awful westernised weird food. Not only that they definitely overcharged us. The green curry was yellow! The red was pale salmon coloured, nothing had spice. All these positive reviews must be sponsored or fake reviews as I can't believe someone would give this place any more than 1 star. Please go up Hanson road or days road and spend half the amount on some good south East Asian food.

I triee to order direct with the restaurant but they were busy and couldn't get to the phone so I order takeaway through Menulog. I arrived right at the pick up time and it was just coming out of the kitchen. Pick up was completed within 15 minutes as advertised. You MUST try a stuffed chicken wing. Delicious. The beef massaman curry was tender and the duck red curry had lots of duck in it. The roti bread was perfect to soak up the sauce. Pad Thai was good too.

Ordered a Laksa on Uber Eats and was a bit confused with what I received, I got the noodle base which was fine but the 'soup' was literally just a thai red curry sauce?

It was very nice mind you but not a Laksa.was a light pink/white colour rather than a typical yellow curry. I understand this is a Thai not a Malay restaurant but probably wouldn't have ordered it if I knew this.

We ordered and got food delivered a few months back when we were in Iso. Have to say that the food was just amazing! Cannot recommend them high enough. The portions were plenty and the taste was phenomenal! Love the food here!

The number and size of the prawns was too small in the Seafood Salad. Then again the prices are very reasonable. However, I would prefer to pay more for a dish to be as expected.

I went to get tom yum soup from this venue and it appears that they can charge you whatever they feel like. It clearly indicates on the menu that if you wish for seafood its an extra 2 dollars, and tofu an extra 1 dollars. But low and behold I was charge 29 dollars! That is just bloody ridiculous and inappropriate practice! Not only was i severely overcharged at the venue, the taste was so awful it lacked flavour and also seemed like it was made out of a packet.i will definitely be raising this to the authorities and also be sure to clearly show them what unlawful practice is being displayed at this venue. Awful just awful!

Hands Down the best Thai Seafood Fried Rice in Adelaide, I am brutally honest when it comes to food, but over year or so this restaurant has never let me down on consistency, quality, portion & taste. Tried in many so called funky thai places but you guys are best. Keep up the good work. Try to add prik nam pla & runny sunny side egg on top & you have a heavenly combo for the seafood fried rice that no one can beat.

Looking for a Thai restaurant and we came across this gem! Service was friendly and efficient. Food was fresh and delicious.
Awesome atmosphere.
Look forward to going back again.
Update: Have been here at least half a dozen times since my first review & it is still one of our favourite restaurants in Adelaide.

I have finally returned to this amazing restaurant after 6 months. Nothing has changed. Still extraordinary food, very affordable dining.
