Second Valley Lodge and Cottages

A beautiful place to stay. Not only are the rooms comfortable and cozy - there is also a lovely garden to sit in and a great communal area to cook in.
It is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into looking after the rooms, and there is also great coffee and breakfast included, which makes it even more special - the accomodation itself would be enough!
Thorough map and guidebook also provided in the rooms which was helpful.

Old farm cottage now offered as a bnb. Close to the highway (bit of road noise but quiet at night) & part of accommodation, including larger lodge at rear.

Met by host at check-in who showed us to our room (upgraded to larger cottage) & given brief history of cottages.

Room was quaint & renovated but authentic. A small ensuite has been added which was good.

Out of town so need to be prepared with food - microwave & jug. I believe you can pre-order food. Continental breakfast items were supplied - nice.

Set in a lovely old area, close to the beach with a historic walking tour. Really nice.

My wife and I really enjoyed our one night stay here. Comfortable bed, great shower and host was lovely. Bedroom is separate to main living space which always works better. Second Valley is a terrific spot too.

Not happy totally different to the how it’s portrayed on there site … no privacy on the balconies.one blanket on the bed on a freezing cold night … the heat was a oil heater.won’t be coming back

A charming little place that we booked randomly. Spacious rooms, very clean and well-maintained. Friendly staff too. Great value for money.

We booked this place for a family of 5 and Matthew made everything to make us feel at home.

Me and my now wife booked a lodge to stay at for our wedding since we was getting married at second valley beach. When we got to second valley Lodge and cottages Mathew who greeted us had upgraded us to one of the deluxe cottages which was so lovely. Me and my wife loved every minute of staying there bed was so comfy we enjoyed sitting outside in the morning having breakfast together in the sunshine. Mathew and liz couldn't do enough for us they was both great hosts. Me and my wife will definitely be back here to stay most likely for a anniversary.

Absolutely loved staying here. Perfect little honey moon for myself and my wife. The bed was SO comfy I didn't want to get out.
Mathew and Liz were amazing and very easy to talk to. Breakfast was delivered to put room and was lovely! That coffee machine too YUM

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a cottage room for a night and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and friendly host who made us feel right at home.
The cottage room itself was immaculate - the trim was clean and very well organised, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The decor was charming and tasteful, adding to the cozy atmosphere of the room. It was clear that great care had been taken to ensure that everything was just right.
But what really set this stay apart was the hospitality of our host. He went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed, from extra blankets to recommendations for nearby restaurants. His warmth and kindness truly made our stay feel like a home away from home.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cottage room to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. The cleanliness, organisation, and attention to detail were exceptional, and the hospitality of our host was truly above and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful location and stunning cottages. The owner was super accommodating and the attention to detail made the stay extremely warm and comfortable. Will definitely be returning for a second stay in the future! Highly recommend!

Best value for money. The rooms were spacious and well presented. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a gem of a place which we book in randomly. Will definitely go back to this place.
