Came all the way to semaphore for this shop walked in and got nothing no customer service at all not even a hello just looked at which was heaps rude! Prices were bit pricy too! Will not be back after that service, it’s not hard to say hello.

Purchased some crisps. From here they were 11 months out of date that I didn’t notice until I opened them. And sold for same price

Me and my son used to enjoy coming in here and having a browse at all the confectionary when it was under the other owner, however we won’t be back after today! My 13 year old son was just browsing by himself and the ‘New Owner’ very bluntly and rudely said to him ‘Don’t go putting those lollies in your pocket! ’ My son was quite taken back…. And said ‘I’m not, I have money in my pockets. ’ To which she then said, ‘Yer well don’t go putting anything in your pockets. ’

My son then offered to show her his pockets because he hadn’t stolen anything to which she then declined! ‍️

This was all because my son had picked up some of the lollies and put them back (like kids do- and because she saw him put his hand in his pocket because he had a friggen jacket on and is human….

My son still purchased something but felt really uncomfortable afterwards. I then went into the shop to confront the lady about how it made my son feel and even offered a different more nicer approach in the way she could of spoken to my son but the Owner cut me off while I was talking, was rude and bluntly denied that she was accusing him of stealing! And didn’t offer any apology to my son or myself!

She wasn’t just accusing him of stealing …. She was assuming he was stealing and even then when she found out he wasn’t didn’t even apologise!

Two stars is for the variety of confectionery in the shop because it does have some good stuff! But I was absolutely appalled at the New Managers approach in talking to my son in regards to her thinking he’s stealing! No sorry or nothing.

She needs to brush up on her customer service skills and maybe get better security devices if you think every teenage boy/kid who walks into your shop is stealing!

Will not be back!

The food here is delicious. Too delicious actually to the point where it has destroyed my teeth.

Good range, service is usually friendly, though sometimes close to closing not so friendly. They have fit a lot of deliciousness into quite a small shop. The prices are a little expensive, but this is to be expected with things that are imported. Kids and adults love it) They offer some specialty items like drinks and cereals too.

I hadn’t been here in years and went back today and was SO impressed! What a good range, so much to choose from, even big bulk bags of rainbow sour straps and everything. Normally I go to a lolly shop and come out with the same ol things but this time I had to actually think about what to get.
The lady serving was very kind as well.
Definitely impressed with the range, keep it up!

A great place to visit with your kids. I personally find this shop a little small and cramped but it is still very nice to visit.

So much fun! It really makes you feel like a kid again when you see the old school lollies, with all your favourites and some new stuff as well. And the names they give to kids lollies these days!

Owner is always helpful and her home mad flavoured chocolate range is amazing. Best of all though are the ice creams.local Golden North ice cream with just about any flavour you want crushed through it! We tried the coconut rough and the rocky road. Awesome!

Great shop with a huge range and a mixture of old favourites that are hard to find and common sweets and treats. A must for young and old if in the Semaphore area.

You can literally spend a good hour in the cosy seaside sweet shop and allow the aroma of sweets and other hard to find imported ranges of goodies to bring back nastalgic memoirs of all your childhood sweet-favourites. (rainbow jubes, sherbet fountains, English jellies, pop tarts, Dr Peppa, jawbreakers, and Jolly Ranchers) Whether you're seeking some self-indulgence or a unique gift for a special someone, there is honestly something for everyone, even if your preference lies more in a savoury treat.

Strictly exclusive to the semaphore sweet shop, is there very own range of semaphore road chocolate bars. A great souvenir whether you're a local or tourist visiting the quaint and arguably the best summer tourist destination Adelaide has to offer. Friendly and helpful staff and a must do checklist place to visit if in Semaphore. One of my Semaphore Rd favourites. Be pleasantly surprised

Its so cramped. You cant have 2 people walking opposite ways.
However things have prices displayed which is great so many places just dont display them.
Prices are okay for the things that are hard to find now like wagon wheels, but things you can still find almost anywhere are expensive.
They do have small baskets for people to fill with goodies which came in handy as I was making a "nostalgia basket" for a friends 21st and got quite a bit.
Parking isnt great at Semaphore because everyone from everywhere comes down, locals learn to walk if the weather is good because all the Elizabeth areas will come down and ignore the parking limit times.
But it is in an area that has a lot to offer.
