Seafood Works reviews
19Amazing crayfish, prawns and oysters for Christmas and New Year. Wonderful service as per usual….
Picked up some fresh salmon for sashimi and sushi, it’s the cleanest and most tasteful salmon I’ve had in Adelaide, do recommend!
Fantastic service as well!
Fresh, quality seafood is always here. I've never had problems and will always go back
Bought whole king fish here twice, didn’t charge for cutting fee the first time, but was told to pay $14 the second time, most of the seafood place won’t charge anything for the big fish, and it’s only cut into cutlets not even fillets. Wont come back again because of the inconsistent price charging.
One of the only fish shops i know that actual sells sashimi grade salmon! Absolutely delicious
Flathead fillets were fresh but I threw out the blue swimmer crabs at $9 each the meat was so bad I had to spit it out not fresh at all. It's not bin day for 6 days ffs
I was tasked to get the fish ready for a dinner party and I’d never bought fish before. I went to my local fish shop which is seafood works and the staff there were heaps friendly and helped me get some great fish that was a hit. The whole experience was easy and I’ve been back a few times now. The quality of the produce seems heaps fresh and the shop is nice and clean with good family vibes. Very welcoming, 10/10 would recommend
All seafood is extremely fresh, so recommend you get your next seafood from here! Shop attendants always friendly and helpful- if you need help with any type of fish and how to prepare.
Absolutely love this place the staff have always been so forth coming and helpful but recently a new staff member is really annoying me the language barrier I could put up with but her whole attitude doesn’t suit this place
I had a horrible experience with seafood works I paid $36 per kilo for the sashimi salmon and they didn’t cut the skin properly which They supposed to and I asked them so I had to throw the whole thing in the bin I called and said it was a waste of money the way you sold me their fish and the only thing they had to say was sorry you need to cut it yourself and get the skin off.
I am very disappointed I would never ever go back to the shop anymore.
We bought a huge crayfish for our Wedding Anniversary last Saturday night.
We indulged ourselves, it was great.
All their seafood is extremely fresh & an excellent range. It's almost impossible to find a specialist seafood outlet in the North Eastern suburbs.this one is my favorite & the staff are extremely helpful & friendly. I drive all the way from Tea Tree Gully just to shop here, therefore I can highly recommend!
As a retired professional chef, I wish I could have had access to Seafood Works back when I was cooking. The food in this shop is ALWAYS of a high standard and top quality. The biggest problem I had when "cheffing" was being able to find a supplier of fish/seafood that was able to deliver produce to a high standard, consistently. No such problems at Seafood Works! After buying here for the last 15+ years, I have never had any reason to grumble about the quality. For me, when it comes to food, quality is everything. This family run business is a shining example for customer satisfaction, service, honesty and helpfulness. They will go out of their way to make sure that you are getting everything you could hope for. Michaels` devotion to offering seasonal produce ensures that the "Fresh Fish" really is fresh. Their crayfish, oysters and prawns at Christmas are sensational. Very highly recommended! Personally, I refuse to buy fresh fish and seafood anywhere else! Shop here with confidence, it is Foodie Heaven.
Nice place, the cabins need more looking after, not too much TLC in there, overhaul a good place to go to especially with the caravan.
This place smells like the ocean. So fresh! Good see food excellent oyster (best in Adelaide) friendly service. A hidden gem (except for us in the north-east suburbs). Order or Christmas seafood here!
I've been going to Seafood Works for almost 2 decades. I don't live locally but travel 15 mins to shop here and at other shops in the Newton Shopping Complex. Seafood Works only stock the freshest fish and shellfish. I've never in all these years had anything but the best quality seafood.
It is a family run affair with the father now solely in purchasing, the daughters running the front of house and the sons back of house. They are the nicest folk, very friendly and always accommodating.
I never go anywhere else for my seafood.
Best seafood place in adelaide. The prawns are amazing.
And the staff are always helpful and friendly.
Had some oysters they were amazing, succulent and salty. Had some octopus and sashimi grade tuna. Absolutely delicious. Staff were helpful and attentive!
A small family run fishmunger that sells fresh seafood. Choice on fish was abundant and one can call to request special order. Fresh shellfish is rather limited. In any case, their labels state whether they are fresh or frozen.
Even when fresh, the fish is filleted.
