Seacliff Beach Hotel reviews
60We usually love the Seacliff Hotel but this time the food was disappointing. I had the Barramundi which sounded great on the menu but was not what was promised. The asian slaw and summer fruit salsa was just some limp leafy mix with a couple of citrus slices and a tiny bit of cabbage. For $35 this was definitely not worth it. My husbands schnitzel was good and I will stick to fried foods in the future. The beach views from the balcony are lovely.
Had a lovely senior's meal here today. Busy hotel on a Sunday but great service and food, lively atmosphere.
Booked for a family lunch, asked re wheelchair access and was given clear information on how to access. The meal I ordered was a Senior's Steak, with some trepidation, but it was tender and cooked as requested. Great atmosphere and good coffee for afters.
Early in the week at lunch time so the atmosphere was not going to be overwhelming. However, in saying that, it was ok.
The food and service were great. Everyone cleaned their plate up.
We sat and ate upstairs, which was fantastic outlook onto the water, but i am a keno player, and there were no keno screens or sales machine (that I saw) so had to go down stairs to play.
Overall, it was an enjoyable visit, which we liked.
Will go back.
So give it a go.
Hour wait on food. Zero warning it was so long a wait. Would have gone elsewhere had we known as we had things to do after dinner
$23 for 2 small pieces of toast on a large plate, topped with a smidgen of avocado, a couple of mushrooms and tomatoes and a sprinkle of grated cheese, which didn't even taste good, is what I call a complete rip off.
I ordered a beef schnitzel and as soon as it was put in the table my mum said it was overcooked. I thought she was wrong and just darker in colour. But yeah it was tuff and a disappointment for $24. I told the bar staff, and they said the chef was not new and would pass it on.
Lamb pizza & gf seafood platter was delicious, generous serving & lovely staff.
Air-conditioning was a little cold though
Beautiful seaview from windows/doors.
Disappointing, food took a full 2 hours to arrive and were at different times so some were left eating alone. Unfortunately we then received attitude from staff when the wrong order was brought out. Upsetting as this is a place we have chosen to dine at for many years.
Went to hotel for dinner and I must say that my girlfriend and I had the worst beef schnitzels I have ever had.
It was very tough to cut and chewy to eat. Where did you get get your chef's from hungry jack's. Absolutely shocking never go there again and would never recommend to anyone.
The food and drink took a little while to come out but it was worth the wait and the staff were lovely while chasing our orders
Met a friend for lunch. We both just had a Burito bowl which I wouldn't order again. My friend finished hers but I struggled eating a third of mine as it wasn't very nice. Should have had a schnitzel
Underrated local hotel and bar with the ocean in the front. Great hangout pub for small groups. The whole esplanade appears as it’s own parking as there’s no more similar places around it.
Fantastic quality pub food, highly trained staff, good atmosphere and highly recommended function room.
Food and service was great and the online ordering system for meals and drinks was simple and easy to use.
Lunch today was awful. Whiting dry and mushie on a terrible salad. First time I’ve ever taken a meal back. Replaced with chicken schnitzel which was also bad, soggy and not nice at all. I think if the salad was nice and leafy with no brown splotches of dressing it would have been better instead of large chunks of the heart of an iceberg lettuce. The food (well what we had anyway) has really gone downhill. We hadn’t been for a while and were regulars and the food used to be really good pub food. I’m very sorry to say but it was disgusting. The staff though are fabulous! I didn’t take photo of whiting.
Great Adelaide pub right on the beach. Get there early if you want a spot on the balcony overlooking the sea
Honestly the tofu burger was ok and everything else was awesome. Everyone else at my table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My only complaint was the tofu looked like it was straight out the pack and it was huge! That's a lot of tofu which can get difficult to eat. Maybe sliced in half so it's cooked a bit better right through?
We came for Sunday Brunch, having previously been and enjoyed both lunch and drinks upstairs.
The dining room was far from busy - about 20% capacity - but we waited 40 mins for our Eggs Benedict and Bacon & Eggs to arrive. The Eggs Benny were served on a cold plate with the hollandaise sauce also cold. Just awful.
The decor is tired, the room is not light and bright, which is such a shame given its foreshore location, and tables remained uncleared after patrons left. Won't be back.
Decor is looking a little bit tired but th view makes up for it. Can be busy though so getting a seat on the balcony can be difficult around sunset.
Joe is a legend.
