Scott Theatre reviews
11 We went to see final year students at Adelaide University perform “ A Chorus Line” at the Scott Theatre tonight 28th September - what a show - it was excellent and we enjoyed every moment.
We being my husband, daughter and grandson …
Loved the place, well set out to watch a show, & especially thrilled with the uni grads who performed "Sweeney Todd "
Nice and well spaced theatre in the CBD. Parking is the only issue, otherwise quite comfortable and great sound system.
Maths lectures here. It is way too good for a lecture theatre (being an actual theatre). If you are going here for a theatre performance, there are tables you can put above your seat (a significant improvement on most other theatres where you have to put your stuff on your lap).
Great venue. Interior could do with a little less grey but acoustics were excellent from the balcony.
Fabulous night of mixed Latin Dance routines. Spectacula costumes and dancers. Performed by the Dance Company, Latino Grooves.
Attended a musical theatre production - Urinetown, put on by 2nd year uni students. Was blown away by the talent and enthusiasm.
Theatre was clean, spacious and comfortable. Seats were easy to find.
Nice theater with great performance from Uni Adelaide students. I watched Mamma Mia show from them
This venue was brilliant. They allowed me to host a talent show with my 30 year old son. 10/10 would go again. Thank you.
Having spent many-an-hour in this vast performance space I can say with confidence that it can keep me entertained as long as performances are in 50 minute segments. My favourite performances so far include Dynamics and Programming (MATLAB and C). While Scott does have his flaws (I can't write notes as I'm too broad to keep my arms inside the arm rests but then the lecture tables are 4-6cm lower than the arm rests, causing me to have to squeeze and reach to write. Adelaide Uni pls fix Scott he's hurting), there's a certain uniquely novel charm to having the choice of an upstairs or downstairs seat when aforesaid choice is definitely proportional to the amount of work I want to do on any given day (obvious covariables such as "how many rows back do I want to sit? " and "I should be at my programming lecture rn rip lol" also make sizeable contributions to this outcome).
I'd like to thank my favourite performer, Gareth Tha G, for teaching me how to deal with mixed message by describing the ways of the 4 Significant Figure Man under the heading "3 significant figures".
