It was good, however the recipe could be improved. I made the Christmas eclairs.we used white chocolate on top which is just too sweet for some people so I think having the option to choose between the type of chocolate you put on top would be a good idea. Another way to improve it would be by making the instructions for the custard more clear to avoid over cooking it and making a chunky custard. It was hard to tell if the heat was correct and I think that the custard was a section where everyone required a bit more guidance. Overall, the course was fun and I learnt some tips to improve my cooking.

This was so much fun! We went for our work Christmas party and everyone loved it! Chef Tony was so helpful and made the process so easy. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

What a fantastic place! Brought my two boys here over school holidays, and they enjoyed the entire session. The chef guiding them through the recipe was so great at handling the different ages, skills and personalities there (the kids ranged from ages 5 and up), and goodness knows the focus levels of the kids varied as well. The kids learned kitchen safety with how to hold knives, move around the kitchen walking with the knife (at the end), how to grate and slice safely, and how to handle other cooking utensils. The recipe was simple, easily recreated at home, and the kids both really enjoyed eating it afterwards! You can guess we will be back again for more classes. Well done Scoffed!

My kids always enjoy classes here, and it's helpful to have the recipe afterwards to be able to recreate the food at home. I love that they get to try new foods and learn kitchen skills like proper knife technique, etc. The ability of the teaching chefs to adapt to the different ages of children in the classes is really great, and means the older kids can be extended while the younger ones still learn the basics.

We did the ginger bread house workshop with about 20 people. It was so much fun! The class was really easy to follow and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend

Best place for real life skills! Could not recommend it highly enough! If you are in doubt where to take your kids on weekends or holidays… this is one of the best money you can spend

I attended the Low'n'Slow class. The setup at Scoffed is great. Tom and Mark gave us lots of tips on charcoal cooking in Webers.
There were hands-on components where we made cornbread, chicken wings and BBQ sauce.
We had brisket and rib trimming demonstrations and Tom's passion for BBQ and his experience in the competitve circuit was very valuable.
Thanks Nadine for being a great host for the night. Five stars for the experience, and I'll be keeping my eye on other courses at Scoffed!

Thank you Scoffed

I have been to cooking schools all over the world. Without doubt Scoffed is amongst the best of them.
I have attended two classes French and Spanish, each as good as the other. Chef Anthony is brilliant, he tends to those who need support and let’s those who have some semblance of experience to be a little self managing.

The support staff are amazing, in preparation and picking/cleaning up after the messiest of participants.

If you are looking for a cooking class …. Scoffed and Quaffed is a wonderful choice …. The wines have been superb and the food served was sublime … of course because we cooked it!

You will leave the class having eaten the best food you can get at an Adelaide bistro, along with the requisite paired winners on abundance.

I cannot recommend Scoffed enough.

Brilliant, well done!

This is our second Scoffed class (our first being a French class on Valentines Day, 2020 - before the world went crazy!) and we enjoyed it just as much! This time we were transported to Spain with delicious tapas, chorizo stuffed mushrooms, cheese and leek croquettes, a wonderful seafood paella and paired wines to enjoy with our meal. Then, as if we needed more to eat, we made churros and chocolate sauce for dessert! Four hours of fun and laughs with the other class mates.
Oh, and someone else does all the dishes for you!
Can highly recommend this value for money cooking school. Pick a class that takes your fancy and go have fun!:)

My partner and I attended the Master the Art of Pasta on the 19th of May with the Great State Voucher. It was quite a full class and unfortunately I think that was partially to the detriment of the night. Our opinion was that we were lucky that we had some previous knowledge of cooking, as guidance on the steps was lacking and supervision was not great either (given there were so many people to manage). We found we were at a loss of what stage we were up to a number of times. It would have been good to have the recipe and the steps in front of us so we could at least keep track of that. The chef seemed to make up a lot on the spot too, while guaranteed he knows his stuff and more than we do, there were times where he was clearly at a loss or confused but did not admit his fault - again, this could have been partially resolved by having a recipe in front of us. Overall, the idea of the Scoffed Cooking School looks great and their programs look interesting, I am hoping we just attended on an off night for them.

As a person with very little cooking skills I was a bit concerned about doing this class. However it was fun and very educational, the butchery demonstration was by far the best part. You can watch videos or read books but actually being there makes all the difference. The food was also fantastic, I own the same BBQ used on the course and for years I have been doing it wrong. I would highly recommend anyone, no matter your level of cooking skills attend this place. The biggest thing I noticed was the staff, they really do care and seem to enjoy what they do. I will definitely be doing another course here.

I had an amazing time learning (and mostly failing) to make yum cha. I might not have a future making dumplings but I’ll definitely have a future going back to Scoffed!

Joined the Master the Art of. Pasta class on Thursday 14th April. It was a complete disaster. Everything was going well until it was time to use the pasta machines - these were absolutely pathetic. The machines did not work at all - they were too cheap to even work and in the process all our pasta (and everyone's in the class basically) became dry and unusable. By 9: 45pm we were still not done and by this stage we all lost hope in having pasta to take home and enjoy (or eat there). We just went to McDonalds afterwards.

Our kids have been here several times and absolutely loved it every time! Such a different way for them to engage with other kids and bond as brothers

I participated in their 'American BBQ Guru" class on the weekend. Highly recommended. Fun environment in which to learn some new skills from knowledgeable and very helpful staff. Tom and Mark walked us through the recipes, step-by-step pointing out tips along the way - and at the end we get to eat the product.
Very happy and I'm already booked in for more classes:)

I would never recommend booking with this organisation. My partner paid for two classes for us so I booked them in. We never received confirmation of the booking and unfortunately we missed the class so we asked to reschedule our paid classes and we even offered to pay for the ingredients bought for us to the class we missed but they were not willing to work with us. We have lost our money with them and they were happy to simply take it and not reimburse or reschedule us. They are a waste of time and money. Look into other offerings - there are some amazing ones out there!
