Savers reviews
51A decent selection of thrifted goods. Unfortunately, the prices have risen exponentially over the last twelve months. It was more affordable to buy new during the end of year sales, then it is to now buy dresses here. Rather sad as it used to be a good op shop.
Although this place is quite big, there is quite a bit of stuff that is poor quality or not working. As this is a for-profit op shop, it is reflected in its high pricing.
Absolutely love this place! What a variety you get.sometimes brand new things in so less price.
I came shopping yesterday with my mum and we were really shocked by the lady behind the counter, who was rather rudely informing a paying customer that she wasn't able to take a trolley from the store. This customer had just purchased several big blankets and was on the way to meet her taxi, when the cashier just kept getting in her way, and repeating loudly and rudely "you cannot take a trolley through those doors".
Now let me first give you the benefit of the doubt-
If this IS, in fact, a legit policy, you guys should really just get rid of your trolleys altogether. The entire point of a trolley, is so that you can do your shopping, and then transport your goods to your vehicle without having to carry everything. Theyre no good to us just shopping in-store. If you cannot take them to your vehicle to unload everything, you're essentially rendering them useless anyway. Thats why literally no other store does this! There's also no need to speak to people in that manner. Especially when you're in a customer service role. Really wasnt good enough!
Having said that, i do NOT, for a second, believe that this is an actual policy. Its way too ridiculous to be legit. Myself and several other people who witnessed it, all got the same impression that it was quite discriminatory towards the customer, as she was of a particular ethnicity, had only bought blankets and had paid for her things mostly with coins.now im sure the odd trolley goes missing here and there, but in my opinion, this woman was racially profiled, and then made to carry all of her purchases outside, and continue to hold them, while standing there outside waiting for her lift. All because she was not trusted not to disappear with a trolley!
Now im sure ill get a nice and friendly response on this review claiming that any racism or discrimination was absolutely NOT the case. But no matter what is written, i already do not believe it for a second. I understand that you have to say what you can, to defend your staff, and your store, but i know what i saw and heard with my own eyes and ears yesterday. There were 4 different groups of people to witness the same thing yesterday, and we all had the same takeaway on it. One of these witnesses even told this customer to cancel her taxi, and offered to drive her home, she felt so terrible about it.
So that has to tell you something!
Savers is solid. Like any second hand shop it can be hard to find stuff that fits right that you like, but when you do the price is always good.
This is a big store which sells second hand stuff like clothing mens and women's very cheap but in fantastic condition, kids toys, kitchen needs, books, jewellery etc.
Always neat and tidy. Well staffed. Now has self-serve checkouts. Easy to use and can self scan discount vouchers no problem!
Felt like this store was double the size of Noarlunga. So many more clothing racks, I ended up buying 4+ items for myself and each of my three daughters.
Great place for second hand clothes. I didn't get to check out the other products. Ran outta time. The clothes are a ton cheaper than all the op shops I've been to lately. Also clean and very well organised. But, be prepared to wait ages for a changing room.
It is the biggest op shop I have ever been to. I was not sure we're to go first. And wished I had more time.
Staff were friendly, courteous. The shop was clean, tidy and had a large assortment of items to buy.
Absolutely blown away by the amount of stock and quality of goods available at bargain prices
This place is huge and always full of great clothes / accessories at good prices. I’ve never left disappointed:)
Excellent place to go for all your needs and plenty of variety and value if you want something it'll be there well worth a visit, great staff and friendly
You will find everything you didn't know you need in here. I went in looking for a pair of loafers and came out with 10 more items with minimal spend! Huge op shop and most affordable one too.
Great range with lots of options. We like to make it a family trip and everyone gets something "new".
Savers is a place where u can find whatever u need in best ever price, I didn't even saw preloved furniture in this price anywhere, completely loved the place
We went in looking for a Carmen Sangiego costume for an 8yo. They had just what we needed. One very happy little girl! The hat brim was a little different, but the colours were right and she just wants to keep wearing the hat, coat and boots! She got an almost new, baby yoda t-shirt too. Her smile is huge!
Great variety and great prices.you can get anything you need for you and your house and staff is very helpful and friendly.
Great assortment of second hand clothes, shoes, accessories and bric-a-brac small amount of furniture all moderately priced
