Sasmee Park reviews
40Such a beautiful park and the little train rides are so much fun, highly recommended place to visit.
Living within earshot of this place is a special kind of hell. It would be ok if they used the whistle every few minutes but every few seconds gets old very quickly. Don't buy a house anywhere near this place!
If you love miniature trains, you will love this place. Upon payment of your entry fee you can have all the rides you want. There are 2 train tracks, as they have 2 different size trains. They also have a little lake which has miniature boats and a model size railway track.
Great place for the kids. Lots of families having kids parties. My 3 year old loved it and it was fascinating how powerful the little engines were. Bit of a wait for rides, but not too bad. Very reasonably priced for a day out.
Great outing with the kids, their canteen was very reasonably priced. $4 bucket of chips were a hit and the fruit boxes were a lovely option. Plenty of shady spots to sit too. The trains were beautifully maintained and it's a very well organised event.
I love steam trains always have. This park is brilliant for young and old. Love the space and love the duel track system for different size trains. Facilities are good too. Became a member to help out. Hence the night shots.
Great fun with kids. Lines can get a little long, but the volunteers are excellent at managing the platforms and keeping the line moving.
Kids loved the trains. Make sure you allow enough time here.sometimes you have to wait in line for quite a while before you get a ride. We arrived 1 hour before closing time and only had time for 2 rides.
It's an amazing experience seeing these train models and ride them. My son enjoyed a lot as much as we did.
The staff are super lovely.
Big entertainment place for little kids let then lern what steam can do while they ride on the little trains
Kids loved it. You MUST wear fully enclosed shoes for riding the trains. No phones to be used while on rides or you get told off ;-)
The grandkids loved it! A variety of model and ride on trains provided a great experience for the young and young at heart. The lines ups were long-ish (15 or 20 minutes which is a long time for kids) but we could still watch the trains going around whilst in line. The old style canteen was cute, but don’t expect a top quality coffee!
Stumbled upon this place purely accident. It is well placed between two railway lines and delivers an authentic experience. Fun for all ages. Grassy areas for picnics. Birthday parties seem pretty common. Canteen and facilities on site. Don't forget to book ahead (online).
Great place to take younger children, very good value, safe entertainment provided by a talented group of dedicated volunteers.
Excellent opportunity for the family. This was the first time allowed back open for Covid and was very busy. Was well operated given the circumstances and got to go on each side of the track at least once. The kids enjoyed it, watching the boats in the centre pond. Thankyou
It’s a great place, the only thing to consider is that there is lots of toxic fumes and smoke, this is obvious because the mini steam motors, there is a tunnel that was very concentrate with this smokes and maybe you shouldn’t breath while you going through.
This place is usually closed and is the exclusive playground of model train aficionados, however once a month they open up to the public and run the trains all day. Rides are free and kids love it. Watch for the stampede at opening time as young families make a run for the best spots to hold their kid’s birthday party.
I love this place! I use to live on this street and rode the mini trains a lot as a child and I was shocked to find out it was still around now I'm all grown up with a family of my own and I now take my children here.
This mini train park is an absolute hidden gem! There are a couple of different train lines (and a tunnel) running various steam, diesel, and electric trains. It's top notch! There is also a cute lake in the centre with model boats, a nice area under some gum trees for a picnic, and a nice little snack cafe. It's also adjacent two main train lines to boot
