Samui Thai Restaurant

We were one of the first customers many years ago! The best Thai ever! About 9 months ago we had a bad experience where the order was stuffed! We decided to give it another go! Our favourite Tamarind duck was nothing like the old days! Deep fried, tough and no sauce. Pad Thai was tasteless, dry and no peanut? Shocking! So disappointed because it used to be great! Not going back!

Probably the worst Pad Thai I have ever eaten. I asked for no egg and replace with tofu. They charged me an extra $2.50 and I had about 5 thin piece of tofu in the whole dish. Tasteless and no sign of tamarind or peanuts. Broccolli that has seen better days. A loveless dish.

The owners are both Thai which explain the authentic flavours. We have been here a few times and never been disappointed. Always a great place for dinner. Highly recommend the home made ice cream guys, they are bloody stunning.

Pad Thai is so sweet, like eating a icing cake.
Papaya salad is bitter and not even closed to call it a som tum taste should not even serve this.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! The food and ambience are very nice. Recommend having the duck, it was very good, and the rest of the meals were on par. Only small concern is size of restaurant, it’s a bit cramped, but nonetheless it was too good not to visit again.

By far one of the best Thai restaurants in Adelaide! The food is always so delicious & I love how authentic it is - also the banana pudding a must!

I've visited Samui Thai several times; consistently excellent food and friendly service. After enjoying most of the menu, we keep coming back to Santi's Chicken and their killer Pad Thai, a dish I usually avoid!

Best Thai Food in Adelaide, great food, great service and great atmosphere. Fresh and authentic with a great selection of wines. Just perfect. Highly recommend.

Lovely dinner. Cosy restaurant, not too loud. Food is delicious and good portion sizes. Easy to park and fun spot to people watch as well.

The girl helped us to take order is very nice, but unfortunately all the food was not that good, too sweet, and too small…

Food was good but bacause it was a busy night the service was average.
Annoyed No rice came with the Stir Fry but it wasnt even offered as a side dish.
Meals came out one by one with a wait between them.
It seemed takeaways were more important than the in house diners.
I think more staff would help especially during the rush of both takeaway & diners.

The food is quite good, but it's altered to cater more for Caucasians, losing some if its authenticity. The servings aren't very large, and don't be fool by the chilli rating (3 chilli's rating was hardly hot). Pricier than most thai places considering the serving size

Ordered Fried rice Veg, Veg Pad Thai and Vegetable Peanut sauce, it was really good and brought back memories of when we had visited Thailand. Their food has authentic Thai flavors and really flavorful. Definitely worth trying, the prices are a bit steep but it is definitely worth it.

My partner took us out for a night out dinner.
Enclosed within the suburb of Hazelwood, this small cosy place is filled with welcoming service.
We tried out the Itim Kati and banana pudding for desserts and they were absolutely delectable.
The avarage wait time is around 25 - 35 minutes.
However, I personally felt that some dishes like the appetisers are quite overpriced considering the relatively inadequate portion.
Overall, great recommendation for small family, couple and friends to hang out, chill and have dinner.
To the owner, you guys are doing a fantastic iob, particularly during this whole Covid-19 crisis. And I just hope that the restaurant would notice all the reviews and upgrade the size of dishes a little bit more generous. Keep it guys.

Came in and server asked “what do you want” in a get out of my house tone. Hopefully, food is better than first impression.

Good service, great atmosphere, amazing food. I've been a regular for a few years now and I don't eat Thai from anywhere else any more.

After reading positive reviews on here, I ordered the cashew dish for $18 as a takeaway through their website and was extremely disappointed with the portioning I received. It weighed probably only around 250 grams, if that. It also did not come with rice and I was not made aware of this when I ordered. Was literally just a few pieces of carrot, broccoli, cabbage, some cashews, red capsicum and a stir fry sauce. I ended up getting more food from another place on the way home.
