My friend and I went to the store with our kids. They are 4 years old. They were looking at the toys quitely when suddletly a lady (manager and the same one I guess from another review) came to tell us that we were not watching our children. We were right next to them and we thought they might broke something or made a mess but no, they were just touching the toys them and putting them back. I approched that manager lady asking what did the kids did wrong. The kids got a big upset because they could not see the toys and they started to run in the store wanting to leave while we were at the checkout wanting to leave soon. The lady yelled at our kids and made them cry. I tried to complain too and the same rude lady replied the phone so rudly telling me I was a bad mum. I really wont never come back to that terrible store with such a nasty lady. I wish someone could do something about it. The parent at the store realized about the situation too and they were not happy about that rude lady.

My daughter and I attended during school holidays looking for some bits and pieces. My daughter is 5 years old and was looking at the toys (quietly and in a well behaved manner) unfortunately the woman behind the counter did not like my child touching the barbie doll ‘display’ and snarked at her that she is not to touch these. My daughter ran to me in tears. (About 5 minutes prior my daughter did a fast walk to me which she also snarked at my daughter not to run) I asked my daughter if she would like any of the barbie dolls or all of them (as the money goes to a good cause) my daughter in tears said ‘no mummy that lady is mean I just want to go’ I am disgusted that a 5 year old is aware of how you speak to people and a fully grown woman does not understand ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all’ keep in mind all of these dolls were for sale. I put down the rest of the items I was ready to purchase and provided comfort to my daughter. When I called to talk to the manager the same woman picked up. I was refused an email address to take this further or any other outlets. I was told that my daughter was ‘unattended’ now like most mums, I had eyes on my daughter, knew where she was and knew she was safe (the shop had one other person in it) The woman was nothing but rude on the phone alluding I am a bad parent (without saying the words) I reminded this lady that this company is raising money for people in need and that because of her deplorable customer service we will no longer be shopping anywhere near this company again. It’s sad that a charity misses out due to their staff’s behaviour. On the phone absolutely no empathy or remorse was shown, instead she proceeded to speak over me and said ‘when unattended children make a mess she has to clean it up’. She also wanted to make it very clear that the salvation army is a ‘retail store’. I do believe putting stock back on shelf is a general rule of thumb for a retail store.

Will never be stepping foot in this store again. The prices are out of control and the woman called KOO has a terrible attitude with customer service every time I shop there. Disappointed.

Lovely staff and a good layout, but the prices are seriously out of control. A plain black t shirt for $20 just because it's Lorna Jane? Or a used Puma jacket for $40? You can get these clothes new when brands have clearance sales. There's practically no incentive to buy second hand from here because it's no longer more cost effective than buying new on sale. This place used to be a semi-regular for me, but it sadly won't be anymore.

The staff are always lovely but the prices are getting out of hand. It’s a charity shop, everything is secondhand and donated. A worn Country Road cardigan shouldn’t cost 33 dollars.

The range in store is really good, Mandy was lovely, sadly we were mostly served by Koo, who was quite bad tempered and couldn't stop sighing. Basically insulted my wife over a misunderstanding, my wife had to tell her to calm down. We were one sigh away from just walking out without our purchases. Maybe keep her out back.

Rudest staff I’ve ever come across in my entire life, especially the woman with the dyed red hair & glasses who yelled out to the store at 5.20pm (they close at 5.30pm) today “We’re ready to close up! ” and saw me pick up another item screamed at me “We’re CLOSING, didn’t you HEAR ME? !? !? ” Yet a family walked in a few seconds later & she just politely said to them “Just so you know, we’re closing in a few minutes”.

We’d had no interaction with this horrible woman at all to make her assume me or my sister were deaf or needed encouragement to leave the store. We were well-dressed & ready to spend $$, as this was the final stop in our op-shopping tour of Adelaide and we’d been buying up big. So the Croydon store has missed out on our business today and we will not return in the future, plus we’ll make sure we tell our friends to avoid the store if they want to be shown even a modicum of respect (which I always assumed was a central tenant of the Salvo’s purpose - perhaps some staff education is in order?)

This is not an isolated incident - my sister previously reported being shouted at for daring to touch a painting on the wall. There are plenty of other Salvo’s stores around (like King’s Park) with helpful, respectful and just downright lovely staff who you should support & spend your money with instead of this awfully staffed store.

The best Salvos in the West. Prices very reasonable, some excellent treasures to be found. The plus size range is quality. Best of all the staff are always lovely!

Excellent, quality items. Clothing is arranged by sizes making hunting for clothes easy. Items are relatively cheap and a massive range. I was extremely impressed with the friendly service on the 20/1 by the counter staff. Will definitely be back

The team at Salvos Croydon were extremely helpful when I was desperately looking for an affordable but comfortable mattress, and they even organised delivery for a very reasonable fee. The mattresses are brand new and mine is super comfortable! They also have a good variety of other items:)

Choose the sale items based on the colours every week for only $2 or half price. You can also choose a special day for additional 20% discount.

For such a small store, it has a lot to offer, unless you're looking for furniture or electronics, but other than that it is a great small store with very good prices (one of the best Salvos stores when it comes to prices). Always great customer service too and overall a very nice store.

Salvos store at Findon is across the road from the Findon shopping centre. A great range of pre loved clothes and other items. I bought some books and dvds. They were really cheap. Staff were friendly and helpful

Too overpriced for a 2nd hand store and the manager destroys anything that is put into the big bins so no poor homeless struggling human can take it

Another good Salvos Op shop. Very well organised and easy to find your way around. The staff are friendly and only to pleased to assist you. There s ample parking outside the store which makes it a convenient place to visit.
