Salisbury Hotel reviews
66Thankyou so much to the staff & management at The Salisbury Hotel for hosting my friends wake in the Patio. You all went above and beyond to cater for all of us involved and we are truly thankful for that.
Mostly the food is really good. We have had the schnitzel platter twice in the last 6 weeks with a mixture of beef and chicken. On both occasions the beef tasted sour. I did mention to the waitress and she said she will pass it on. I would not order the beef schnitzel again but the platter is great value. Salad and veggie bar is it and miss. Sometimes it is nice and tasty other times it is bland and boring.
My family and I have visited your hotel on many occasions over the years and have always enjoyed both the meals, the environment and the service provided by your staff. Please keep up the good work. One of the better hotels around the Salisbury area.
Average food, beer had gone bad in the lines, poor hospitality and the tv is so loud I couldn't talk to the person next to me
Since it's much needed reno the place is quite aesthetically pleasing.
HOWEVER
The barmaid in the front bar tho could do with being taught how to NOT look down at others judgingly.
I wasn't dressed as if I was going to the venue (I was picking someone up) I wasn't even dressed that badly, just in active leggings and a jumper which has paint on it due to renos.
But the look I was given as I walked thro to the toilet by the barmaid one would of thought I was wearing something that foul and disgusting or that she was too good to be working behind the bar.
Chicken parmy was nice as was the additional salad and veg bar. Venue manager seemed a little arrogant though.
I chose this place for my recent family birthday dinner, and I was so happy I did! Great service, food amazing, and they made fantastic cocktails! Definitely be going back
The salad and vegetable bar was awesome. Hot, fresh and delicious. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. The beef snitty though was disappointing.
I ordered a chicken schnitzel which was average and my mother had a roast beef which she enjoyed. The meals took a while to come out. The service is decent I can't really complain about it
Yes haven't eaten there in ages food good service good jacks bar tab lotto pool tables and dining prices competitive plenty car parks ground floor have pokies but didn't check it out not my seen wheelchair access
Great steak, even with the chefs gone for the night. Kitchen is open until 9pm. Friendly staff. Visit your local people
So I went here for a meal a few weeks back and rated them a big gold star. Went there tonight with Tammy and Greg and the meals were perfect, even Greg's steak was perfect and he finished it and that hasn't happened for a while, which means they now getting a big 2 star rating from us. If your this side of town make sure you try it out you won't be disappointed. And well done to the friendly and efficient staff, we will be back.
Lovely staff and gorgeous food, nice relaxed atmosphere and pricing is great, especially for the incredible food quality.
Great value meals. Some of the staff bring their emotions to work, had a couple of experiences that are less that admirable.
The Salisbury Hotel has always been a great place to eat and relax. There food is pretty Good so 5 stars for me and the staff are awesome.
Enjoyed it chicken Schnitzel cooked to perfection although it was after, 6,: 00 the dinning room was a bit dark
The porterhouse schnitzel was a bit dry and chewy.
Otherwise, the meal would have been spot-on!
The worst meal I've had for years. Ordered 'Roast of the Day' 5 mins later told they had sold out of turkey, then told they had "found" some. Then we waited. It arrived after most of the rest of the table had finished. Veggies were cold - in hindsight we should have rejected and asked for a refund. The milk looking thing in the glass, is supposed to be Tea.
On the upside - staff were very friendly.
Got the soup of the day. Half a cup of soup and a full cup of cream. Disgusting. The garlic bread wasn't cooked. The snitzle was off and the salad was dry. Like eating lawn clipping. Won't be going there again
Very different from when I used to be a staff member there. No more strikes gaming and restaurant, bottle shop or drive thru.no more jacks bar. Miss that place. Staff and the good ol' regulars.those where the happy days. Xx
