Saigon Gate Cuisine reviews
58The special fried rice was definitely special! The food is amazing and has a range of different dishes to choose from. Totally recommend!
A lovely place with friendly staff, delicious food and quick service. The salt and pepper squid was a real highlight. Highly recommended.
6 people and they cook and serve 1 meal at a time, the service was terrible but the food was ok
Ordered the combo entree, which literally came with 1 spring roll, 1 dim sim and 1 prawn, presented poorly. Service was super slow. Food was late.
Would not come back here.
$60 for 3 dishes take away. $15 for an average Chinese fried rice is just ridiculous. The honey chicken tasted more like lemon chicken and was soggy. The black bean beef was 70% vegetables and was $24! Also, $5 was charged as a service charge. For take away! I'll never order here again. It still gets 2 stars because the food is just okay. Certainly not good.
The worst service I have ever encountered, to busy polishing glasses than serving there customers
Fancy tablets to place the orders
Absolute joke and when I told the owner his faults seemed to not care.
Avoid this venue
We came here for dinner, 2 adults and a 4yo. Ordered a bowl of pho, fried rice and a stir fry beef. Pho came piping hot and I requested a small bowl for my son as it’s impossible for him eat from the big bowl. Staff told me they will charge me $2, but I said its for my little one. They proceed to give me the small bowl and charge us at the end.
I do understand you charge for extra bowl if people aren’t order anything else but pho to share.
Very pathetic and wouldn’t return.
Been here a long time and the food speaks for itself.
Went at 6pm on a Monday night and it was quite busy.
Great customer service.timely delivery of meals which were very well presented and prepared.table service courteous and professional.highly recommend as a dining experience.:)
The food we had was delicious. Especially loved the special fried rice, sizzling beef and the crispy chicken with teriyaki sauce. We will definitely be back.
Got it all. 5 star all rounder.
Satays are great. Everything in our 3rd visits has been excellent and we will return soon.
We went for dinner on a sat night. Very busy. Looked like they were short staffed (like many businesses
The staff they had were really working hard & trying their best. Bit of a wait for the food, but well worth the wait. Everything was well cooked & delicious. Best to book before.
We were walking our dog along O'Connell street when we stop for a bit to see the menu on this restaurant, the manager came out with a water bowl for our dog, I thought that was very nice of him for it was very hot that day, I didn't realize the bowl was there until my dog start drinking, I was sold instantly for the hospitality and gave him the thumbs up and reserved a table for three for outdoor dining.we live in western sydney, and we are spoil for choices when it comes to the very best vietnamese cuisine, the food here is nice but not great but the service and friendly staff is excellent, overall i was satisfied with our meal along with a pet friendly dinner experience enough to won me over.
Got it all. 5 star all rounder.
Sartays are great. Everything in our 2 visits has been excellent and we will return soon.
Went here last night to celebrate my birthday. Couldn't fault the food. It was fresh & tasty and everyone enjoyed their meal. However, after spending over $200 between myself & my partner, and over $300 overall, being charged $5 for 5 (20 cent) plastic takeaway containers left a bitter taste in everyone's mouths. Pretty disappointing!
Took our order through ubereats and apparently have their own driver, an hour after our food was meant to be delivered we called to have them tell us they didn't know when their only driver would get around to delivering to us and suggested we could cancel the order. I drove there to pick it up myself and the food was sitting in a bag on the bench and had obviously been sitting there the whole time as the food was completely cold straight out of the restaurant. Can't recommend, there's plenty of other good options on O'Connell st.
Such a cute and helpful staff️ My friend in Adelaide became sick and as I am interstate could not help her, so I delivered her Uber eats from here and asked if they could say “get better soon” on the meal. They have exceeded expectations and added a huge smile to both our faces- thanks to the team and the soups were delicious!
Amazing food and generous portions. Thai Green Curry and salt and pepper squid was cooked to perfection.
This Resturant is really really good we came here and ordered the pork belly clay pot and it was amazing I would 100% recommended to a friend. Normally I'm a basic white boy and order the honey chicken but i decided to switch things up and I'm glad I did cause I really enjoyed it.
We eat here every time we come to Adelaide and the reasons are simple, fantastic food, fast and friendly service, awesome prices. Never had a bad meal here. Do yourself a flavour! You see what I did there! Highly recommended!
