Terrible entry layout. Always packed in line up blocking way for member entry during busy hours. Children using rehab pools with no enforcement at all. Terrible ventilation system in the gym, humidity is unbearable during summer. Change rooms need frequent cleaning. Definitely not a world class facility.

Great aquatic centre. Only issue that I had was that you have to have cash to hire a locker. Needs to be converted over to allow for PayWave.

Awesome place to take young kids! My 10 month old had a blast, it was shallow enough for her and spongy so it didn't hurt her feet or legs and was warm inside. I'll definitely be coming back

Website alone has put me off attending. Trying to find out any relevant information sends you around in circles in a huge time waste. Confusing, unintuitive design which isn't designed for mobile use. Booking online without providing endless details isn't possible. Why on earth do you need my name, address and date of birth to book a casual visit? I gave up - I will stick with attending the Adelaide Aquatic Centre.

THE MOST USELESS front desk staff EVER!

If you’re seeking information, just try to dig on their horrible website, because it’s better than wasting your time going there and having to deal with the rude staff that works there.

Pool itself is ok but there is absolutely no ventilation in there, it was literally like a sauna. No air at all!

COVID'S over. Move on. What's with all the red tape (!). Having to book, 45 minutes only sessions, cancelling if I can't go, lose a credit for a no-show. Pull your head in, your losing customers. All I wanna do is show up when I'm ready to swim.and swim.

Disgusting service and staff are just greedy for KPIs.
I went to sign my daughter up for swimming lessons, starting Jan. Assured if I sign up, it will begin in Jan. Low and behold I'm being charged $50 a fortnight for a service I can't use due to Xmas/school etc. Tell me it's my fault, offers me 1 free swim lesson to make up for it. $100 down the drain and I told them I can't bring her and they offer 1 swim lesson? HORRID

I've been going to the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre for around 3 months now and everytime I go in I find the staff so welcoming, not just friendly but actually helpful. The gym equipment and pools are always clean and tidy and well organised. As someone just starting a fitness journey again after a long time I've never felt more comfortable.

It’s an absolute privilege having this place in Adelaide, amazing facilities with access to a great swim school

We have been going here for past few years, aqua sensory lessons and now toddler swimming lessons. Teachers are great, well the half dozen we have had so far anyway.

2020 Sauna/Steam - $4.00,2021 Sauna/Steam $6.00,2022 Sauna/Steam $9.50.

Something doesn't add up here. Yes, the sauna and steam are more popular than they used to be, but whoever was the bright spark with the supply and demand logic who thought raising the prices was the answer obviously has no regards for the more vulnerable populations of the community, who they are seemingly trying to price out in order to keep the numbers down, shame on you Marion.

Built to purpose building with clean toilets and separate changing rooms. Lockers too are available. Indoor pools are heated and one outdoor tube that opens only in summers is housed here. Swim wear shop with limited variety is there and a recently revamped Cafe is a nice addition/improvement.

Ample of parking space but sometimes hard to find due to any state event happening there.

Memberships and casual bookings both are available.

They never answer the phone, instead subjecting callers to 3 minutes of dreary recorded self-marketing then the line goes dead.

Great facility, very welcoming environment to train or swim. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Ben at the front desk and Alex upstairs in the gym, are both stars! Both so cheerful and outgoing, helps make it a pleasure to come here.

Rude staff. Hours of operation are incorrectly displayed on the website. Its a yo-yo show dependant on which staff member is on shift.

I have not been back that much since covid rules were in 2020 about booking for a swim which big turn off for me

i miss when it was pre covid you can swim in whatever pool etc that you like and that was free etc.

Also there water sides have been not working since early 2020 and no word on when they coming back etc since they said at the time it was going to be for a few months now it 2 years they being closed and still no word when they are coming back

i am not sure whether to try this swimming centre and since there 2 different prices etc while i have been told you can stay for long as i want yet on the webpage there is booking system saying you should book in for a swim no thanks

I have gone other pools in the mean time the only way i will go when i know for sure i can stay for long i as like etc

i do not like the way ynca has been running the Centre

Facilities are good and the café has some of the best food around.

Fantastic treatment of all people from all cultures including those with a disability.

The staff are friendly and always willing to help with a smile.

My fiancé and I joined up together.
Unfortunately my fiancé decided that the facilities were not clean. In fact the change rooms smelled and the toilets were definitely not cleaned daily, if at all.
The sauna had cockroaches on several occasions and the steam room had skin and debris from humans everywhere.
I use the classes and I’m happy with them. However I will not be using the toilets or Change-rooms.
The cleaning should really be stepped up as we did mention to staff about the cockroaches etc.and were assured that the facilities were cleaned daily. Maybe as the centre is so busy, daily may not be sufficient.

If I had known how archaic the booking systems are to log on to book into gym classes, I would have never signed up to this gym.good luck booking into a reformers class. Set your alarm for 6: 59am every morning to book for 3 days ahead and miss out by a second. Phone and complain and receive arrogant young customer service attendant never apologise but that’s correct ‘8 people have booked into this class in under 60 seconds and you have missed out for 6 weeks running but we’ll happily deduct your membership and increase the fees regularly’. If my children were not swimming members, I would have cancelled a month in. What a joke
