Ryumon Ramen Izakaya reviews
62 The rudest restaurant in Adelaide
The clerk is always incredibly rude
So rude that you want to hit him.
I've been to different stores several times and the clerks are all the same.
Can't have any expectations for this store
Fantastic meal and experience.
I've visited multiple times and will continue to do so.
Staff are friendly, service is swift, the restaurant is clean, prices aren't too upsetting and the meals are divine. I'd recommend having lunch here:)
The Ramen has improved since the last time I ate here. Thick and flavourful broth, perfect size noodles. Basically what you would expect of a Japanese ramen.
Thank you for the meal.
I went here right after coming back from Japan and absolutely loved it. The tempura mushroom was so good!
Delicious ramen and okonomiyaki. Friendly wait staff and we were seated immediately on a Friday night. One of our favourite Japanese spots in Adelaide.
This place is my go-to ramen joint. The ramen is full of flavour, the bamboo shoots have a perfect crunch to them. The eggs are to die for and the noodles are cooked well. The cucumber salad is also amazing and light. Great atmosphere, great service everytime.
Service is amazing everyone working is so nice and respectful.food is delicious and full of flavour.this place looks very clean from what i can see and i 110% recommend people to come here and have a meal.
Great Ramen!
We visited at lunch and were delighted by the teams quick service.
The ramen was excellent with the housemade noodle being the standout hero of the dish. The flavour profile of the broth was deep, rich and a treat for the taste buds.
Highly recommended and look forward to eating here again next time I visit Adelaide.
New shop, great service and really good traditional ramen. Can't go wrong with their best selling Tonkotsu whichever you chose.
We had their house speciality and the Spicy Miso.
Really good service. Will be back
Great ramen restaurant as the food is tasty and price is just right.you should definitely give it a try
I have been visiting Ryumon as my go to ramen place in Adelaide & been recommending this place to others. Unfortunately, my recent visit ran short in terms of the service.
Let's start with the positive, the food is yummy as usual.
Atmosphere is nice, despite few used tables that were left dirty. (More to that below)
Now service.
As I walked into the restaurant, nobody is present in the host area. So I waited & waited until I realised the sole waitstaff is standing still inside the restaurant.
He seems to be too preoccupied with the iPad he's holding, to acknowledge customers. I proceeded to grab my own menu and approached him.
He offered me to sit anywhere in the restaurant, luckily the restaurant is pretty empty. So I choose to sit among other tables that not being cleared off the cups & menus.
While he was typing my order, I realised something else caught my mind. However he refused my request for changing my order, curtly saying that it's not possible to modify the order as the kitchen already started making the order. This all happened with no more than few seconds since the order has been taken.
Throughout my 40 mins meal, the staff barely moved from his spot in the center of the restaurant, staring at the iPad except to clear one single cup from the table next to me. None of the other tables are cleared or wiped.
The only saving grace as I mentioned earlier was the food quality & the speed of it being produced. Unfortunately I'm not sure after this whole experience that would be enough for my return back to Ryumon.
I'm disappointed as this is the first time I experienced such service in this restaurant and unfortunately I have modified my previous positive review to reflect this current experience.
Ramen was not hot enough at all. So didn’t taste good. Guess they put all the toppings straight from
the fridge. If they have to do that, I suggest warm up the bowl before
putting the soup noodle in.
Waitress came to me to take order twice while I was still looking at the menu.
The ramen here is so good! Went in with friends and the vibe was amazinggg. The food came out quickly and nice and hot! I also love those drinks
Went there today with some family, and we all tried different ramen. The classic and signature. Was awesome. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be going back to try more of the menu!
Great place to eat.
Tonkotsu ramen was very nice, perfect sized portion and filled me up to the perfect level.
My wife had the Miso Ramen, it was very nice but not much miso taste, also wasnt hot enough.
Staff member was a little rude, didnt seem like he wanted to be there, other staff members were nice though.
This place is amazing.
Fresh delicious food, excellent service.
Will definitely be back
The good place for ramen. They made the noodles fresh in the house. It's a cool place just in the heart of the city next to rundle mall.it has wilson parking next to it.so parking is accessible.
Fast service, polite staff.
Decent karaage chicken, miso and signature ramen is nothing too special, the broths are very light, and feels like it is lacking on flavour.the saving grace of the dish is the perfectly cooked and marinated egg, and noodles with good texture and bite. The Ramen is on the cheaper end at $16-18, the meat is quite thin, and might be a bit dry, and they will charge you for chilli oil.
Probably the best Ramen I've had in Adelaide! The restaurant itself is nothing special, but when I'm craving a good warm Ramen, this is my go to place. The Ramen dishes are reasonably priced, but everything else is probably on the more expensive side. The staff are always nice, and the location is decent. Well done.
Started with Takoyaki Octopus Balls which were nice and crispy on the outside, packed with a deliciously creamy filling. Signature Tonkotsu Ramen was very good. Ordered the thin noodles. Generous portion so didn't actually need the extra noodles we ordered. Eggs had the perfect level of runny yolk. Liked the clean, contemporary design and bathrooms were well maintained. Enjoyed the experience and will go back again.
