Ryo's Noodles reviews
68Delicious ramen. However for some reason every time when we picked up the food from restaurant the potions were smaller than dine in.
The "Chashu" was just two strips of unseasoned fatty bacon.
Broth just tasted like salt.
Overall very underwhelming for the price.
Ordered on Uber Eats. Bento box arrived with broken packaging. Sauce are leaking everywhere! Not the first time this happened. Restaurant needs to use decent quality packaging!
Used to be 5 star but has gone down hill. Been a customer here for years but will now use other options.
No longer honouring loyalty cards they have stamped, staff service is not as high as it used to be with no table service, and prices significantly higher and then surcharges on top. There are now better places in the city.
Ramen is thick and flavourful but the side dishes are meh now and not cooked to the right textures.atmosphere is nice still
Such a small bowl of noodles, with both an EFTPOS surcharge and a 10% Sunday charge – quite disappointing for what is supposed to be an amazing Ramen shop.
I use to leave a 2 stars review in here but now it's become better, the food is nicer and the service did improve, we had a good time here and we will be back for sure.
Only one things is the portion of the food it's not that big but overall it's nice.
Decent tasting ramen.
Not a lot of choices in Adelaide when it comes to ramen, so it was ok.
It is very crowed at times and there is a long wait.
Came here with my son. I had the chicken soup ramen and my son had the karage chicken bento. The soup was very good. Plenty of noodles and bamboo but just lacked a bit of meat. My son loved the bento and ate just about everything. Staff friendly and table was clean. Food came out quickly even though they were quite busy.
It's pretty good but then again, there is not much of competition of ramen in Adelaide. When it opened, the soup was pretty salty. You can now ask it to be watered down with extra broth if you find it too salty.
Update: they now want you to order food through QR codes on the table. But my mobile reception has always been horrible inside this shop so ordering is a bit sketchy. When I managed to order food, the correct food came. You could also order at the till, but wrong food came when I did that.
The waitress took the wrong order and forced us to pay for the mistake one since it has already been made
It’s NOT my problem at all. Really bad service
Go to Ramen restaurant. Service is always fast and now convenient with order on phone. Great value for food
Chef special ramen was inedible. It was like they spilled the whole bottle of fish sauce or something incredibly salty and fishy in the broth. Ate a few bites then left. Could smell it from the other side of the table. Gyoza was great.
I've been to this establishment now 3 times with friends and really like it. The food is consistently delicious and tasty, the staff are friendly and the resteraunt is very cozy. It is quite small inside but the cramped table space is a fair compromise for the service and the food.
In this picture is a beautifully made chicken katsu curry!
A lovely little place! We had the vegetarian noodles, and it was delicious as well as being the perfect amount of food for a midday meal. The flavour was amazing, the atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable and the service was quick and friendly. I'll be going again:)
Tonkatsu ramen flavor was alright, the noodles not the best. Karage bento box was great. Service was top 5/5
This is probably one of the worst Ramen i have ever had. I had been here twice and was let down both time. They claim to have authentic tonkotsu but it tastes nothing authentic. Ryumon Ramen Izakaya has the best ramen in Adelaide in my opinion.
Took a while to be served on a pretty quiet night but great vegetarian ramen at a decent price. Good place for solo diners.
For years Ryo's was my favourite ramen shop in Adelaide. I found their pork, soy eggs, noodles & tonkotsu broth to be of high quality.
I am really sad to say that the standard has dropped significantly.
After dining last weekend with my partner I was shocked to find:
- A decline in cleanliness (our table was sticky and there was dust everywhere)
- The lack of attention from waitstaff and uncomfortable service when there were 4 floor staff and only 3 tables occupied.
- We had no napkins or chopsticks on our table (so I had to take some from another table as it was clear that no on was going to replenish our cutlery caddy)
- The waitress that eventually came to take our order wrote everything down and repeated it back to us yet my partner was still given a ramen that wasn't what he ordered and was told it was the right one, even though it genuinely was not.
- There were feathers in some of the karaage that we ordered.
- The chasu pork tasted old and was cut extremely thin, and the soy egg was bland.
- My ramen didn't come with the additions I had ordered. Our original waitress eventually realised and to her credit told me she would get them for me.but took my bowl that I had started eating from back into the kitchen which was disconcerting as far as hygiene standards go.
I won't be returning to Ryo's after all of these years, but I hope these points can be looked at and reviewed to improve the standards back to what it once was.
I have been love this ramen store before, but I very disappointed today.
Firstly, I wait my noodle over 2x min from I ordered. Secondly, the noodle all sticky together, the sticky noodle’s middle still raw and chewable. Thirdly, I ate a strange plastic debris from the prawn ball!
Finally, I report with a staff (male), and he did nothing
Decent ramen restaurant. Extremely crowded and they do not have upstairs open. Waited a while to.get a seat.
They have a wide variety of ramen. Average taste. Not the most authentic flavour.
Fried chicken taste great. Gyoza doesn't taste good.
Friendly and fast service. Waiter should be careful with how they hold a hot bowl of ramen. Nearly burned his hands and spilled the bowl.
