Ruby's Organic Cafe reviews
47Disappointing meal. The mushrooms came from a tin and were drowned in vinegar to make the dish tasty. Very average coffee, and the staff didn’t bother replying when we left and thanked them, twice. I certainly won’t go there again and recommend this place to anyone.
I'm not a much of a coffee drinker but I do like a really nice coffee from time to time and on the perfect spring morning we visited I enjoyed a great coffee which complement my eggs Benedict perfectly. My 8 yr old son loved his crepes and my wife also enjoyed our brunch. It was so relaxing sitting on the long bench table just watching the people and the cars. We could have easily stayed all day. Definitely will be coming again.
Great range of lovely food - all gluten free! Great atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back!
Ordered 2 takeaway mochas. Coffee shots were made and then sat there for over 5 mins while the person served others. Warm at best. Needless to say the mochas were awful. Won’t be visiting again.
The coffee was amazing! So silky and delicious (Dirty Chai). And the coffee syrup cake was *chef's kiss*. A popular little spot around midday.
Felt most unwelcome, nice coffee but omelet was tasteless and undercooked, most unappetising for the price, toast extra. Disappointed
Lovely workers, had a great time with them. The boss/manager treated the staff like dirt, was very sorry to see considering what an amazing job they were doing. I want to support a local business, but unless this changes, I will not be returning.
Great coffee, good outdoor seats (and some inside) plus various organic snacks and meals. Friendly staff and good prices.
Was disappointed in menu. We were here two years ago, and really enjoyed it. My ordered a dish that was supposed to have corn, peas, and sourdough bread. None of which was on the plate. The food was dry and rather tasteless. I think it has gone down hill.
Lovely place. Coffee lovely. Beetroot wrap needs dressing or apple or sweeter beetroot. But was different and enjoyable.
Fantastic options, great food and everything is Gluten Free!
They are also very good with dietary requirements
Hopefully it is better on a less busy day. We went for mother's day and waited over half an hour for our food. Mine was the last to be bought out by about 10 minutes. I had the salmon Benedict and it was average. The shop is a very lovely concept though.
Incredibly slow service and coffee is not as good as you would expect, we couldn't finish it. So, the waiting doesn't worth it. Sorry!
We had brunch here today and we were sadly disappointed. This place was recommended to us by the locals which is understandable because they were only nice to the regulars.
We had our two year old with us and they put us in the corner where they store their heat and dump their dirty dishes.
The staff are very unwelcoming (in saying that the two younger staff that start while we were there were lovely) and the barista looked very unhappy to be there.
We ordered and 25 minutes later we got burnt coffees. Food was hot and fresh but tasteless and took about 45 minutes to come out.
Really pleasant place to have a coffee. Didn't try the meals but the menu looked good.
Staff were friendly and the outside seating is great.
Probably the only downside was the lack of choice regarding cakes.
I had a mushroom feast to eat and a watermelon crush to drink! It was fresh & delicious! I loved it! The staff was very nice too.
We have always been massive fans of Ruby's and supported it for a loong time as it's a wonderful place to eat safely if you are gluten free. But make sure you get in quick as the kitchen closes early and we have found recently that a toasty and coffee seem to be the safest choices as some of the other options have become quite hit and miss as far as taste goes.
Currently eating the cheesecake and it is so amazing I had to write a review straight away. Service is super lovely and all Gluten Free - doesn't even compromise the taste! One of the best cheesecakes I've eaten, thank you!
A disappointing visit. Staff not busy as Covid restrictions limit customers. Dirty dishes left on neighbouring tables the whole time we were there while staff on computer or chatting. Toast stale. Coffee ok.
