While out walking our dogs we found a rabbit which had been dumped on the side of a road with another rabbit deceased in a box with it! We carried the rabbit home and rang RSPCA Albury and left 2 messages, which we received no reply. We thought that perhaps they were busy caring for animals and had not had a chance to answer the phone. We drove to the RSPCA to find it closed.
Understanding staff shortages may have caused this issue, but surely someone could have left a message to alert people.
This is not the first time, we have encountered issues with RSPCA Albury. The place is unkempt and needs mowing and tidying up.
For an association that prides itself on animal welfare, sad to say; they have lost any faith I had in this organisation.
So many unemployed and yet not enough volunteers!

Nice cats but didn't end up going here there prices are a fortune for little animals that need homes.

Not too long ago, I captured a stray cat so that he could be medically examined by the RSPCA. After one week, they decided to euthanise him without even notifying me of their intentions. I made it very clear that I was interested in collecting the cat after he had been medically examined. Wild or not, this was a completely inappropiate action. In the future, if a person brings in an animal, notify them about your intentions so that an appropiate resolution can be reached.

Why can't a message be sent on this site or a post? Have emailed in the past, but no reply. Wanted info on helping people's pet cats affected by Adelaide bushfires with food etc.
Reckon CFS/SES should have pet carriers that could be used in an emergency to put injured or displaced cats in. Sometimes owners don't prepare for pets or have anything to put them in when in a hurry.
