20A brilliant place. And the Ladies there put on fantastic feeds after Cerimonial Services. Checking out the Military museum is a must.
A wonderfully comprehensive museum.
The staff were extremely helpful. A must see to understand the sacrifices of men and women in times of conflict.
Come See The Amazing History on WW1 / WW2, Vietnam War, Great Club and People, definitely a must if going to Port Pirie for the whole family
It was fantastic to visit the Port Pirie RSL. We came here the 6th march 2022. For a Gold coin donation we were able to see the museum and received an informative guided tour. There was interesting displays and lots of local history. Congratulations to the Port Pirie RSL, it's volunteers and members for all their dedication and hard work. They are very friendly and welcoming.
Well worth a visit and a cold drink after your tour.
Hope "You" have a great send off Trevor Sard, "WE" All Miss you & Love "YOU" Heaps! ! Adios Hombre:) xx
. Awesome exhibition. I actually didn't want to go. Got dragged along. David was very informative and passionate with his information. Can honestly say I was happy I went. Just do it
One of Pirie secret treasures. A must see. Great displays and nice comfortable place to spend quiet reflection. Ten out of ten
Nice place, very well displayed and staff willing to spend some time explaining interesting facts about the war! Was on a road trip and decided to stop there, I was exhausted but they made us fell comfortable and welcome.
Spend a s obering hour or too, to reflect on the senselessness of conflicts in which too many lives have been lost.
Lest We Forget
Excellent museum in war memorabilia. Sitting in the Huey helicopter and listening to the film was incredibly informative. Staff were very helpful. My kids actually enjoyed themselves. Very nice Anzac biscuits that was purchased on exit. Thank you.
Great place to visit, kids loved being able to get in the helicopter. Donations are accepted, no admission fee.
Very well represented and informative
Loved the helicopter display plus the simulator action
Awesome little museum in the Port Pirie RSL club. Definitely worth checking out. And it's pretty cool that you can get into the display helicopter.
Fantastic place for meals and a catch up.
Amongst the best military museums in Australia, and very knowledgeable curators.
This place needs to let other members in, found it to be very of who you are and nothing ever changes, No meals no shows no fun, very boring
Amazing place and an even more amazing display!
We'll worth a visit and please make a donation to help maintain this for our future generations!
Amazing little museum with a real Huey helicopter. Beautifully maintained by members. Gold coin donation for entry but worth dropping at least a fiver.
Fantastic experience. So much to see and read. Well worth the visit. Highly organised and set out well. A must do in Port Pirie. Don't forget to grab some home made Anzac biscuits. They are absolutely the best Anzac biscuits. They are very similar to Arnotts Butternut snaps. If there are none available let them know as they go out of their way to bake fresh for you. We ordered some and in two days we had ten fresh packets. Thank you Ellen for organising.
Definitely not to be missed if you would
Like to learn about the war. I spent two hours here as I’m on a deadline but you could easily spend more time here if you want to soak up history. The people running the place are very friendly and are happy to answer questions if they know the answers. An you can get in the chopper
Well done all. Keep it going strong it's our history and we must show our children what ordinary people had to endure under extraordinary circumstances with wars, and the sacrifices they made for us to exist today. Support your RSL people. Cheers Jim Tregilgas from Cairns Qld.
