I truly loved working as a personal care worker. Until I started being bullied by another carer at Myrtle Bank. Then she was verbally abusive & bullying to a resident, long story short I lost my job over this This was not fair and unjust. It still hurts and depresses me as I felt so scared and alone and suffered panic and anxiety. I still really need a job and the former manager Chief officer and director of nursing were unapproachable. WALSHAW & HARDING colluded to make up false information about me to discredit me from reporting the elder abuse I witnessed. Meanwhile HARDING was SLANDERING WALSHAW's job performance to the staff and APPLAUDING the fact he was stepping down from the COO role! NO LOYALTY there! They made up LIES and FALSE ALLEGATIONS about me to RUIN MY CREDIBILITY! I should not have lost my job. I was advocating and supporting a resident being verbally abused. I have tried reaching out to HR since but no one listens. I loved my job and I was advocating for the residents and standing up for them. I should not have lost my job, I have not been able to find another nursing home job. I'd really love my job back This has all caused me immense and ongoing trauma, distress and mental anguish. Edward.

I volunteer five days a week here, so obviously I highly recommend RSL Care, both at Myrtle Bank and Angle Park. They are nursing homes for Veterans and non Veterans, with some independent living accommodation at Myrtle Bank. The atmosphere at both locations is very much like being in one big happy family.

This looks to be a great support base for the veteran community, thanks to Ryan for his support

A great place for veterans & civilian people & they allow the residents to smoke. Joe is very comfortable there with his own room with an ensuite.

Excellent 'Dawn Service' for veterans and families and the wider community. Always kind and caring care for my husband and myself.

Staff generally unpleasant including the CE0. Very large turnover of senior staff over a short period of time. Dementia residents given very little stimulation. Moved mother to a much better home. The food was disgraceful and mum was treated disgracefully and her room was filthy as we discovered on moving her. The marble table was caked in sugar attracting ants just disgusting.

The main problem is CEO Nathan Klinge who as a former member of the Army does not have the skill set to run a nursing home. HE is belligerent and uncaring and the War Veterans Home needs a CEO with a different skill set.need

A lot of residents complain about the food. I visited my friend there and she said how consistently poor the food was. I found the hospice very neat and clean with lovely surroundings.
