Royalty Theatre / Calisthenic Association of South Australia reviews
31Gorgeous old theatre just needs heating as it was freezing cold in there tonight and access for wheelchairs or disabled people need to be improved but every well organised
Spending lots of time here for my darling daughter that she loves what things to do. I just wish they can have funding to do renovation for the venue.
Gorgeous old theatre just needs heating as it was freezing cold in there tonight and access for wheelchairs.but every well organised
The place needs some serious renovations.
Disability access is very poor with nowhere near enough Disability accessible carparking.
All the Girls, and Boys did a real superb lot of Dancing. They all DANCED THE NIGHT AWAY. GO PAYTON.
As i use a walking stick i find the theatre absolutely dangerous and unsafe.
I feel it should be reported to the authoroties. No disabled access in or out.
The intermediate open & novice calisthenics graceful solo sections were amazing to watch. Unfortunately the venue is in desperate need of renovations. How did Majesty theatre get $6 million to renovate while Royalty theatre doesn't do or get any renovations done? Wish & hope to see improvements to the venue in the near future
The cafe and staff very pleasant. However the Iced Coffees we ordered were horrible. They were room temperature and without any cream or icecream.
The seats were old but comfortable if not short. We were on the extreme side but the angle was fine. The biggest issue with this theatre was the admission. There was a line up to get in which went out the door. This line mixed with the bar line which was also out the door. So you can imagine this big confusion. In the end the bouncer started pushing ppl too get inside, including those trying to line up for the bar. The bouncer was standing in front instead of making it better made it worse because everyone was trying to show their tickets to him and he wasn't checking tickets. In future bring your own drinks and sneak then in. Exiting was also another ameture hour production. They opened one side exit doors and forget the other. Once ppl started moving towards those doors they opened a second set. Considering this theatre had been around for decades, truly shocked how inexperienced they were.
Hmmmm. Saw a great show at this place, but the theatre is so run down. Needs some money spent on it to bring it up to date. I guess this helps with ticket prices?
My granddaughter Katie does her championship Calisthenics there every year. It's really lovely
Intimate heritage: this is a little cracker of a theatre. Have visited a few times seated in the stalls and good views and sound. Not 5 star as we've not seen the toilets or bar so I can't do a full rating! May upgrade in the future
This theatre is a jewel. The seating is surprisingly comfortable and spacious. There is good air flow so even on muggy nights patrons are cool.
Ĺovely old fashioned plush.tired, dated but still gilded, velvet curtain and trimmings.old school plush.great view from Row I to the right of stageand good sounds. Built to last.
Very old, seats ok
Good view even though we were sitting in front row. No airconditioning, so just as well no hot.
Just correcting an incorrect review from another person regarding the theatre seats, they are not 40 years old as suggested and they are being upgraded as finances allow.
It is an old Theater, which I love, but the staff were not at all friendly, which may have been just one of those evenings
Disappointing. Seats were old, dirty.
Went to see Danny Bhoy.
We booked & paid in January only to find out venutix sold the same seats.
So, had tickets in front row only to be shoved down the back, but made our way to the middle.
Theatre staff said that the apparently this happens all the time when it is totally unacceptable!
Get your damn act together
Nice older theatre which could do with some tlc. Seats a bit ripped but comfy. Show we saw was brilliant.
