Stopped in for dinner and it was pumping.

I ordered a steak, kids beef Schnitzel and the pork ribs. Had to give it all a go.

The ribs were good, cooked well and fall off the bone without being overcooked but they were cooked unsauced or seasoned then slapped with sauce before they came.

The beef Schnitzel was good, solid mid range schnitty, nothing bad nothing outstanding.

The steak was a bit of a let down, overcooked and a bit tough. Sauces and chips were good.

Good old pub, great place to rest and enjoy a great meal and a cold one too, very good service

New visitors to Burra, we were so happy with our first dining experience there, we went again for dinner before we left! The service was genuinely welcoming and cheerful, the food was brilliant! Second night - that pasta was the best I’ve ever had, and hand made pasta! Brilliant chef & staff, great country pub, you can’t go wrong. Gez & Gaz thumbs up!

We stayed for one night. The women’s bathroom and toilet were also being used by a male road crew staying at the same time and had clearly not been cleaned for some time. There was a soggy bathmat on the floor that I was loathe to stand on even in thongs. Ughh! Our room was ok, but needed a vacuum and a thorough clean. I was not all that confident the sheets were clean. The deck was in a terrible mess and even a simple sweep would have helped. All round, pretty grubby and would never stay there again. Did not eat there but the dining room looked ok.

Great old style country Pub/Hotel relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, rustic beer garden, great spot if your wanting a non fancy pants experience, though still get good service and good food at reasonable prices

The 2nd time I've visited Burra this year and been to the Royal Exchange. A good pub and Rebecca is such a great asset.

Had a great afternoon in the bar and then went to the restaurant for dinner.
The meals were great and reasonably priced. I would recommend the steak and kidney pie A1

The ladies were so happy and we really felt welcomed - loved the meals and so great to see a salad bar back open! Thanks to the kitchen!

While seeking extra staff, service was prompt, cheerful and meals were ample and a good price. Nice to see salad bar operating again; few places do.

Stopped by with the family for lunch on my way through to the riverland. Friendly service, homely food, and crisp cold beer. Salad bar came with each meal which was a winner.

Called in here for a meal. Awesome and very tasty meals. Very friendly staff. A great place to call into if wanting a feed.

We can't say how much we loved the old country pup beer was great nice bar.

A great country pub. Now even better with new owners, Ian and Julie. Meals have always been delicious, and the servings very generous. And now there's a new self-serve salad bar, for all meals, even the $12 lunchtime specials!
Rooms are basic, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Fresh paint and linen/furnishings. There's tea/coffee, microwave and fridge in shared kitchen.

Lovely old pub. Very friendly staff and good service. We ate in the beer garden with our pup and felt very welcome. We had sausages with mash and cabbage and the ribs. All decently priced and good value.

The staff were supper friendly, food was amazing and the locals very welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and overall our stay here was great.

Great pub meal. I had the flathead and prawns with salad & chips. Delicious and couldn’t even finish because the serve was so generous. Stop here for a good feed under the grape vines.

Country pubs don't come any better.
Great hosts, cold beer, great tucker.
We'll be back.

New owners doing a great job. The food is very good and we were made to feel welcome. Always worth a visit
