Roy Marten Reserve reviews
37 An above average playground with water play and a large slide. Clean toilet facilities and drinking fountains. Besides the weird teenagers sitting in the slide when we arrived it was an enjoyable stop on a hot day.
Beware, though, the slide does stain wet pants.
An excellent facility for the entire family and very suitable for all ages. And don't forget your 4-legged family as they are not forgotten with 2 excellent large clean landscaped well fenced areas. Councils all over Adelaide could learn a lot from viewing this wonderful facility
We love this playground but unfortunately it needs to have more regular upkeep. There's a broken drain cover which is in the walkway so very dangerous for kids who and riding their bikes or scooters, or even a pram wheel could drop into the broken grate.
Bins had plenty of room for rubbish thankfully.
One of the big pumps for the kids to use to access wateplay was also broken.
Excellent precinct with new playground, open grass areas, public toilet, bbq facilities and dog park.
Huge playground area, suitable for little children through to older.bbq's, toilets, sand/ water play 2 fenced /gated areas for small dogs and also large dogs. Basketball courts, paved walkways suitable for littlies on bikes skaters scooters etc. Huge lawned area for kicking footy/ soccer etc. Everything well looked after by PA &E Council
It is not safe for children, as some people leave their dogs in private places for humans and children. This is an infringement on the freedom of others who do not want dogs and some adults play ball in the places where families sit, so do not feel reassured while you are sitting
Clean areas, well maintained gardens and equipment, good free BBQ facilities and plenty of shade areas.
Need more toilets
2 fenced off area's for dogs. Lovely landscaping with pathways, seating and shelters also water for 2 legged and 4 legged visitors. Lots of parking and toilets nearby. Lawned area plus sand pit.
Great playground, plenty of space, toilets usually in good condition, good for kids of all ages
LOVE this playground! It's spacious, there's something for every age group, toilets, free electric BBQs, shaded seating and a lot of grass! Just amazing
A lovely playground, great for young kids.
Was good to see a few of the superloos there too, always a great idea.
Nice park with excellent fresh play equipment wide open spaces. Well thought out. Kept the young kids entertained and the older kids and adults had plenty room to kick a footy.
I love the new Roy Marten Park!
It's very nicely set up now
Most of the locals are coming and enjoying the park!
Highly recommended to everyone who wants to have kids enjoyment
Great facilities, would really appreciate more lighting in the dog park as I often use it early morning or late night
Fabulous park suitable for all ages. Great facilities. Excellent playground. Parking. Toilets. Shady spots. BBQ facilities as well
Hidden behind the Police training academy, with the entrance being from the East off Military Road. This reserve is great for young and older children (8+) a like.
With multiple in ground trampolines, many aerial rope/net attractions, including a 3 storey high slide, this reserves hosts multiple age playgrounds, a wide variety of bbq areas, modern toilets and water facilities.
Our kids (8 & 11) had a great time. They especially enjoyed playing with the water /sand feature and bouncing a ball on the basket ball court and then when all playground out, got their scooters out and scooted all around the many concrete paths in the reserve.
For those with fur based kids, the reserve also hosts a large fully fenced dog park with water and dog bags provided.
Fun place to have special events.big area to have picnics with the family even u can take your dog along to the dog park there as well.a climbing tower & go down the slippery dip.mini trampoline for the toddlers.swings for all ages.water fountain and building sand castles & families having fun.
Excellent playground for all ages. Not enough tree shade though.
Fantastic place where you can have 10 Min walk to the beach. Wide green areas to enjoy the great outdoor activities.
Enough parking spots. Basketball and netball courts. Multi size Trampoline.
Lovely shaded areas with gas BBQ and outdoor dining area. Clean and tidy with good facilities. You can spend the whole day with family. There are warning signs for snakes! So keep your eyes open. I think we are going to go back again in winter when the weather is better and the shades are not needed.
Toilets were clean and good. There was one in the middle of the park and another one near the car park.
Having a park for dogs only is a good idea. It can help the dogs have the time needed on their own. It is well designed to keep the dogs entertained and active.
Our small puppy loves the small dog enclosed area where she can explore the fun mounds to climb sand pits to dig in the run free and play with other small dogs Has fun times there Very well planned area Highly recomend
